Wonderful place! When I told them I was celiac they all changed gloves, brought out a new cutting board and then let me know the two items on the menu that were not gluten free. I had the Turkey and it was excellent.
Not only do they have a dietary restriction matrix on their website for every item they sell, but when I told them I had to eat gluten free, they changed their gloves, got a new (non-cross contaminated) package of pork from the warmer, and put down a clean cutting board to prepare my food. Above and beyond, absolutely incredible. I'm not trying to sound like a commercial, but it's hard not to when they did such a good job.

Absolutely delicious! They changed gloves. Everything but two items were gluten free. Tasted like I was in the south. Very affordable. Will return!

Our staff is very knowledgeable about food sensitivity/allergies. Let the person assisting you know so that we can take proper precautions.
If you have a gluten allergy stay clear of:
Sandwiches (GF if ordered with no bun)
Sliders (GF if ordered with no bun)
Mac n Cheese

Texas Sheet Cake
Pecan & Chocolate Chip Cookies
Banana Pudding (GF options available)

Great fusion of bbq & Mexican classics. We tried the chicken & pork salsa verde tacos as well the Mexican Twinkie. All were great. The only things not GF were the flour tortillas & Mac & cheese.

Staff is friendly and accommodating for celiacs. They swap gloves, change cutting board and cutting utensils and get out new meats for celiacs. And the food is excellent.

Update May 2024. Seems i somehow did get some gluten even with the precautions. Ive eaten here several times before and had no issue so im not quite sure what happened.
People are so friendly here and they are accommodating for celiacs. Lots of gf options and they swap gloves, change cutting board and get out new meats for celiacs.
I was at the new pecan lakes location and the folks there said the sauces are NOT safe for celiacs because the worcestershire sauce isnt GF. I know the original branded Worchershire sauce is GF… but maybe the stuff they source isnt? I’ll probably reconfirm next time I go back but I skipped the sauce to be safe.

I would love it if you would reach out to me & tell me a bit more about your experience. Though we cannot guarantee 100% absence of cross-contamination, we do want to take as many precautions as possible to aid those who cannot have certain allergens to feel more comfortable dining with us. It would help us tremendously with training in all areas of the restaurant.
I was excited to see the owner point out that they look out for allergens recognizing how difficult it is to eat out. My family will do anything to help me find food. The food smelled amazing and I was excited to try the brisket….then watched as the person working cut open a bag of rolls over a wood cutting board, set the rolls on the board and opened them…then right after he moved the rolls he set the brisket on the cutting board and also used the same knife to cut the meat. Major cross contamination problem. Sadly we had to turn around and look for food somewhere else
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! I’ve had a hard time finding a BBQ place that fits all of my food allergies including my celiac disease, but this place took beyond care of my boyfriend and I. We saw that there were good reviews and wanted to try them for dinner. It was one of the best decisions ever! As soon as you walk in you feel warm and welcomed. The employees all care for you and attend to anything that you need. When we told them about my celiac they went beyond to explain what was safe to eat and explained the precautions they take for celiac. I wasn’t expecting the food to taste like literal heaven. Everything was just beyond delicious. They even had a gluten-free banana pudding that tasted so light, fluffy and like banana unlike most banana puddings. My boyfriend hasn’t been able to smell or really taste much of anything since 2016, but with everything that they have to offer he was able to taste every single little ingredient. It was enough to make a grown man cry and he did. We definitely recommend this place 100000%!!! I will say that they are busy depending on what time you go, but it will be worth the wait no matter what and can be pricey depending on what you get. The total for us was 102.58 but with that price we got a lot of food that was worth it and enough for leftovers.

-1lb Pulled Pork
-coleslaw
-potato salad
-Mac and cheese
-pretzel buns w/sea salt
-salad
-pinto beans
-cornbread
-regular banana pudding
-gluten free banana pudding
-1 Vanilla cream soda
-1 Fountain drink
-Gluten free sauces
Told them up front I had celiac and they said meats and sauces were gluten free and they could totally accommodate me which they did. They brought in a new clean cutting board and the carver changed his gloves. Got brisket and pulled pork to go along with their standard BBQ sauce and the sweet and spicy sauce. All was delicious.

Celiac here. Nicest most accommodating people. Changed out gloves and got a new cutting board. All meat and sauces are gf. Happily shared which of the sides we could have (potato salad, cole slaw, garden salad). Didn’t make us feel like we were annoying them. Really friendly-will be back.
Would recommend bringing your own bun to enjoy the bbq as a sandwich. No gf bread options but the bbq is delicious.

Amazing! Very appreciative of their knowledge and extra steps they take to keep me safe. I chose to purchase smoked sliced turkey for Thanksgiving. This may be our new tradition! Definitely check this one out!!

Great authentic BBQ. All meats & sauce are gfree. Also the coleslaw. *They changed gloves and the cutting board for cutting meats.
We choose not to order sides as the buns and sides are in the same area but the sauce and meat are amazing. We have gotten takeout many times and never had a reaction.
Knowledgable about what was gluten free! Most of it is except the obvious like Mac n cheese and bread:)
All the meats and sauces are gluten free. The staff was very knowledgeable and took precautions.
