Went while visiting friends in SF and it was a wonderful experience. As someone with celiac it’s not often I get to enjoy a meal out with friends and get to just freely order what sounds good! Highly recommend this place.

Decided to try this restaurant based off of previous reviews, and I’m so glad I did! The menu is handwritten and does not discuss gluten free options (nor on the website). However, I asked our server and he confirmed everything is gluten free. Everything about this restaurant was fantastic: the safety of the food handling and ingredients, the quality of the dishes, and the restaurant ambiance. Absolutely delicious and I did not get sick. You feel “normal” when dining here. I will be back (especially for brunch). NOTE: one of the desserts had oats, which I avoid even if they are gluten free.

Despite the restaurant not really billing itself as such, Camino Alto’s kitchen is fully GF. Great food, small but well appointed space, well worth visiting.

The best food! So delicious! Loved the ceviche, brisket tacos the best. Halibut and salmon are delicious too. So many great kombucha and drink options too. Super nice and friendly staff, great ambiance.

This is exactly what the GF community needed! Camino Alto is my new go to for weekend and brunch and dinner. Everything on the menu is incredible, you can't go wrong! I even took my team at work of 10 people here for dinner and they were blown away. No one knew they didn't serve any gluten but me :)

I come here all of the time - food is delicious although menu is on the smaller side. Always feel super safe and normal eating here.

This restaurant was fantastic, and we can’t wait to go back for breakfast. We had the halibut checks (staff favorite and quite a showstopper), salad, roasted sweet potato (think of this as a healthy twist on bbq chips), salmon, and top 5 pork tacos we’ve ever had; and we said yes to both desserts they offered including dark chocolate pot de creme and rhubarb crumble. We don’t drink alcohol but they had some flavorful non-alcoholic beverages including a delicious coriander limeade; a robust wine and beer list—only 2 beers on the list have gluten (in CANS) and those are the only gluten in the restaurant. (We spoke with the owner who also shared they never cook in cheap seed oil, using only extra virgin olive oil, animal proteins are all grass fed or sustainably caught, and seasonal/fresh/locally sourced produce, and no gluten.

Superb! A truly delicious dinner taking advantage of fresh seasonal produce and an excellent wine list. No wheat at all in the restaurant.

Amazing experience! I’ve been here twice. Once for brunch and once for dinner. Everything on the menu is naturally GF. The owner is very knowledgeable about celiac and I haven’t gotten sick either time and I am very sensitive.
