Update: waitress said tacos were GF and while they did have corn tortillas the weekly special turkey was battered in a regular batter. Ugh. They did refund me for them. My mistake for not clarifying. Here's my previous review: Tortilla chips are fried in separate fryer and GF items are marked on menu (mostly means using corn tortillas and not getting breaded items). Ordering is ala cart even for chips and salsa. We got the trio of salsa, guacamole, and queso plus unlimited chips and it was excellent. I don’t know my tequilas so I played it safe and ordered With Patron Silver which was an upcharge. You could save money if you know them and choose something more standard. The refried beans and slaw and tacos were delicious. Our boys who aren’t GF had chimichangas and loved them. Service was excellent and food came out fast. We went at 6 as we had heard there can be waits at later times. Overall bill for 4 was $100 before tip but that included $31 pitcher of upgraded margaritas. So higher than a standard Mexican place but the food was so much better and margaritas weren’t syrupy sweet. Plus dedicated fryer for the chips.

I would approach this restaurant cautiously. The server assured us the items selected were gluten free, as indicated on the menu, and there would be a glove change when preparing. My son and I have Celiac and became ill almost immediately after eating.

Ate at Cantina last weekend. Had the chips and salsa first. Then had three tacos with corn shells. No reactions at all with the food.

Food is ok… service is very slow. Dedicated gf items marked on menu.

Went back and was given gluten food in error. Overall food was still ok.

Items are marked GF in the menu. The waiter was knowledgeable and let me know the chips were gf as well. I am celiac and had no problems. The chicken enchiladas with green sauce was outstanding!

The server was not knowledgeable about whether there was a dedicated fryer. My son really wanted tortilla chips and queso. At first she told us the chips were corn...the menu has the queso clearly marked as GF. She was willing to check for us- I appreciated her honesty but she told us that some items with flour were fried in the same fryer as the chips. My son ordered two of the tacos marked GF and she reassured us they were corn tacos, but we didn’t feel confident after the info about the chips. Also, our service was terribly slow and the food was just ok for the price. The table next to us were sitting before us, and received their food after us and also didn’t get their chips until the rest of their main courses were served.
