Review of Captain Daniel Packer Inne

Everyone always talks about this place like it is the best restaurant in town. I did not have that experience. My mom called beforehand to confirm that they can handle allergies. As I usually do, to call attention to my order being GF to make sure it gets written down, I stated, "I am ordering off your gluten free menu" before placing my order. My dish (chicken sauté) came out on pasta. Before she walked away, I said, "this is gluten free right? It's like a rice pasta or something?" She said yes. I started to cut into the chicken. She returned to take the dish away because she said the kitchen had goofed. I was very polite and agreeable about it. I would rather she say "let me check for you" than "yes" with me proceeding to dive in. When the meal returned, I had chicken on top of rice with a little more veggies on top. However, under the veggies I could see the exact cut I had made into the chicken before it was taken away. I would NOT eat here again with an allergy or autoimmune intolerance. If I weren't GF, I would also not eat here again because the food was really sub-par for the price.
