Revising my review after ordering gluten free pasta explicitly and having regular pasta delivered with a smile. When I told the waitress it was not gluten free, she asked if I wanted her to take it back and redo it with gluten free. We left and went to another restaurant.

Ate here despite the low rating because I haven't eaten at Carinos in so long and I missed it.
Our waitress was friendly, but robotic. She didn't really listen to what we said, didn't write it down, and even though we ordered a meal to share she didn't offer an extra plate, much less being one.
My boyfriend loved the bread and oil and had two loaves. 😯 Men in food prep area not wearing hair/beard nets. The one with the beard appeared to be preparing the salads/cold stuff. We didn't have any issues with stray hairs, but.... seems unsanitary.
Ordered a spicy romano chicken with gluten free pasta, and bleu cheese dressing on the side of the salad (for my non gf boyfriend)
Iceberg salad came already dressed with bland Bleu cheese (likely bottled). Pasta meal was NOT gluten free. Chicken was rubbery (very weird), the large pieces of artichoke were pre-marinated (clashed with the dish) and difficult to eat, but the sauce was tasty.
I would avoid this place all together. They have NO idea what gluten is nor could thy have cared less.

Would not recommend. We came here today to attempt to eat bc we read several things about gluten free options, manager wouldn’t even come to table, I was told “red sauce was safe and there was gluten free penne” but that was all that I was told. It wasn’t the servers fault but highly disappointed and opt into going somewhere else because I did not feel safe. The sever told me he felt I was making the best decision not eating bc he couldn’t guarantee anything about kitchen either.

They have gluten free foods but they use the same pizza paddle to get everything out of oven and I bet use the same water to cook the pasta. Server told me the meatballs are gluten free but not according to their online menu. Also could not provide a gluten free menu. If you have sensitivity like me probably safe but if you are truly celiac I wouldn't risk it.

Zero stars for this place. Poorly staffed. Coffee machine broken for days but no effort to fix it. GlutenFree salad came out of the kitchen with croutons. Wait staff was sure "all our bread is gluten free" which of course was completely inaccurate. In fact they have no gluten free bread. Stay away.

I also got a discount because I'm a member of Gluten Free Lexington. Food is awesome, servers were knowledgable.

Had trouble ordering take out from johnny carino's. They told us they could do chicken primavera without pasta until we pressed issue of menu we saw on line. Finally told us it would be half hour wait. We were ok with that not the telling us they had no pasta.

So many options and the food was delicious. I told them I was gluten-free and asked if I had an allergy. My plate was a different color than the others in my party, so I assume that was to signal to the kitchen to be careful. No complaints!

They do not have a gluten free menu, and lacked knowledge on allergies.

Server brought a gluten free menu with about 15 options. I ordered the rosemary lemon chicken. Our food came out very quickly. It was the best gluten free Italian meal I’ve eaten out to date. Prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

They have a very nice Gluten Free Menu. I had the Shrimp Scallopini and it was very good. Salad was great too! Enjoyed my experience!

Hands down one of the best gluten free experiences I've had. The portions were HUGE. Our waitress seemed very knowledgeable about everything. There's a whole menu of just gluten free stuff. Plenty of options. Did I say the portions were huge? I swear my husband's leftovers weighed 40 pounds. Prices weren't bad either. Prices aren't on the menu but our meals were around $18. Highly recommend!!
