Review of Carolina Ale House

Appalled. When I came in I asked the hostess if she had a gluten free menu and she showed me that the menu had calorie counts. My waiter laughed when I asked if he knew of any gluten free options. When I asked if he could check on salad dressings, he laughed again, and said the only thing they could "guarantee" was the oil and vinegar. It was like he didn't even check. He was obviously not interested in helping me find something I can eat. I had a small side salad with oil and vinegar and the grilled boneless wings with buffalo sauce. I'm disappointed because I just got diagnosed with celiac's and feel embarrassed as it is. I hate having to ask about gluten, so to be laughed at was discouraging.
