food was delicious both GF and regular food.
good local food and down home nice people
So I walked in to the restaurant with high hopes due to the last rating. The truth is that the service wasn't very good, and the food is mediocre. I ordered the pulled chicken. To check we looked at the sauce and it had caramel color and bran (both signs of gluten). We talked to a waitress and she said that many people with celiac had eaten it without a problem. But that was a lot of ifs. So we ordered it without the sauce. When I got the food it had absolutely no seasoning and had gluten free bread that neither myself or my grandmother liked. They also forgot our sides and had to bring it afterwards. Overall I was very disappointed. Also we decided not to chance it on the French fries because they didn't know for sure if they had fried a chicken breast.
No
You can get their pulled pork or pulled chicken on a soft warm gluten free bun! Their coleslaw, baked beans, and corn on the cob are safe...and Brunswick stew too!! They typically have a seperate fryer for fries but have to ask because if they are busy they might use it for fried chicken. I have Celiac and didn't get sick eating there. The owners wife is gluten free and knowledgeable if you have questions.
