My children attended a party at casa recptions. The party organizer spoke to them in advance and they let her know that my kids could have salad with oil and vinegar, plain grilled chicken no sauce and steamed veggies. I tried calling 3 separate times over 2 weeks and sent a message to find out if they could possibly make them a baked potato or plain rice to go with their meal. Never got a response. I went in the day of the party and spoke with a chef. He said they would not take a risk by making potatoes or rice and that salad, chicken veggies was safe. I was disappointed they wouldn’t try to make something for them but I appreciated they didn’t want to take a risk. At the dinner, my kids were given gluten free tags which they placed on their plate. The waiter gave them the same salad as everyone else filled with croutons😡. They were approached by a waiter as everyone was finishing their salads and were brought plain salad no dressing. The waiter said he would come back with oil and vinegar but never came back. Luckily they didn’t start eating the original salad. Very poor organization on the part of casa receptions. Their main course came before everyone else’s so at least that was done properly. They did not have gf bread or dessert at all. Thankfully they did not get sick from the dinner but the lack of attention and care re the salad was unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone with celiac!
