I struggled with how I wanted to rate this but it just didn't get to a 4 in my mind. They are supposedly very allergy friendly and the server seemed confident as well, but my first two dishes came out incorrectly and I had to send them back. The food itself is good but felt overpriced. Even the Ropa Vieja, which I was able to eat without any adjustments, was just good. I don't know that I'd go here again personally, but I can see why other people would enjoy it.

They were NOT a safe place for people that can't have gluten. Even when I told them about my gluten intolerance they brought food out with bread touching the food TWICE. I, thankfully, didn't get sick. The food was just ok for the price. Some dishes, like the pork belly, were a hit. Others were just ok. There are better tapas options in the area.

Catalan was amazing. They have a dedicated GF fryer and so many GF options. We ordered so many and every single thing was delicious! I asked them to check if their espresso martini was GF and saw 3 of the employees huddle together all checking to see if it was safe for me. They came back and said it was not. I felt beyond safe eating and drinking at Catalan. Such a great experience, excellent service and some of the best food I have had in a while! While it is a bit small inside, it is well worth it for the food, drinks and service.
