The wait staff was not knowledgeable about gluten free food; the chef was knowledgeable but not an English speaker. This restaurant should not be labeled celiac friendly. I settled for a Mediterranean salad without meat. Gluten free bread was available. The kitchen is very small which alone presents a lot of issues for cross contamination.

I went there ahead of the arrival of my celiac daughter based on the reviews. The hostess behind the bar had no idea what celiac nor whether they could prepare their GF dishes with no cross contamination. And she said she wouldn’t chance it. So I asked about the kitchen and she said her Spanish wasn’t good and their English wasn’t either so she really didn’t think so. I am glad she was straightforward but disappointed bc I had high hopes as this being an option for my daughter.

Delicious! I had the toasted breakfast sandwich on gluten free bread. They asked if it was an allergy so they could take extra precautions. I saw them change their gloves and wipe down the food prep area after handling a bagel. Definitely recommend this place!

This place was FANTASTIC! The owner’s daughter has celiac so they are VERY accommodating! All their soups are GF, and they make their own GF flour and bread and pastries (phenomenal!) The staff is super friendly and the place has a very relaxed, hip art/coffee shop vibe. This is a definite must stop on any trip to Port Isabel!!

This is a great addition to the area. They have many GF options. The staff is very knowledgeable. I do enjoy their chicken salad. Sometimes, I have it on a bead of spinach and other times on their GF bread. They also have a wonderful patio out back. In the evenings, they have events from music to art.

Very helpful staff. Knew ingredients of food and helped me steer the menu. Also I eat mostly vegetarian and they were knowledgeable about that too. Super yummy veggie sandwich on GF bread. Soup of the day was Garlic Herb Potato Soup. Small portions, but not small prices.
