Cava’s in general are very celiac safe- there is only one gluten containing item on the menu and that is the pita. There is an online pdf available for allergens if you also avoid other things. This SPECIFIC cava has the best vibes and the staff is very kind and doesn’t make you feel like you’re annoying ๐๐๐๐ before I even finished my sentence of “I am celia-“ the employee was taking off his gloves and walking to wash his hands. He took out the allergens menu and checked everything I was choosing as we went down the line. I love this place but I will say they are pretty sloppy with the pita chip topping so I would recommend asking if they can bring out a fresh tin if you want something that’s in one of the tins beside the pita chip topping. I go here regularly and always feel really safe and taken care of and it is SOOO YUMMY

This place does Mediterranean style bowls. Most items are gluten free, but ask for allergen list.

I’ve been to CAVA dozens of times since being diagnosed celiac and never had a problem. They have always changed their gloves, utensils, etc when I mention GF, but the facility is not gf (although most of the items are). There is a clear allergen guide and the food is absolutely delicious.

Upon ordering I asked if he could use fresh gloves as I have celiac and not only did he do so, he also washed his hands and seemed unbothered about it. My Chicken & Rightrice bowl was delicious and I had no symptoms of cross contact.

I originally liked this place a lot after eating here a few times with no reaction but the staff started getting really irritated with my requests and simply just not listening to me (i.e. telling them to change their gloves and then turning around to touch the pita… then having to ask them again to change their gloves). They usually give me a hard time there now and I’ve noticed when I go with friends there is a lot of cross contamination happening before the food ever hits the line. I’m super bummed because this place tastes so great, so I learned to make it for myself at home instead :)
