The food is delicious and I strongly recommend getting the enchiladas de la familia. The chips with guac were very good and crispy.
We asked about dedicated gluten free frier and our server confirmed with the kitchen it was true as of 2025-feb-07. Most of the menu is gluten free by default with corn tortillas.
Delicious and lots of things are gluten free. They also have fantastic horchata.
Just got glutened here yesterday. No idea from what. Had rice and gorditas, which are supposed to be corn. Based on the fact their tacos use flour shells I would bet there was flour in something. I won’t be going back.
Really great experience. I called beforehand and was told that they are about 80% gluten free; all of the fryers are dedicated gluten free; and the servers are very knowledgeable. This was my experience. I sat at the bar, and when I told the bartender that I am allergic to gluten and dairy, he immediately started to review what I could and could not eat. He told me that the fryers are dedicated gluten free. The chips are safe, and anything with a crispy tortilla is made from corn. The mole is not safe because they do use some bread in it, and obviously anything with a flour tortilla is not gluten free. I was told that the dairy is pretty obvious because it would be added cheese or cream sauces, which in most cases can be easily removed. However, the cilantro rice is made with butter, so they were able to sub this out with something else for me. I will point out that the menu is not labeled, so you do need to be very clear with your server. Also, I am not celiac but am 100% gluten free. I was unsure of whether to mark this as celiac friendly or not because I am not sure what people with celiac disease view as "friendly." Overall, my experience was very good, and the food was delicious, as well. I would recommend.
I was so excited to eat here because if the previous reviews. I think my experience was ruined by a nervous waitress. I asked her what I could eat and she said "not much". She had a hard time picking out anything on the menu I could eat... It's not labeled. She told me the chips were not gluten free due to cross contamination issues. I ended up picking out the steak tacos with corn tortillas. It came with a side of beans but no rice because that wasn't gluten free either? They took special care and made sure my tacos were made separately. This could have easily been a great experience, I just wish the waitress was more knowledgeable and didn't act like I shouldn't have been eating there the entire time. Yikes! The food was delicious and so were the margaritas!
