Food was pretty good, the waitress seemed to be knowledgeable. Not many options and the waitress let the kitchen know about my allergy but then the sauce in my food had soy sauce (has gluten) and she didn’t seem very perceptive of it. The Atlantic salmon had the sauce, yummy but don’t have the sauce. Not the best place for gluten free.

Server was knowledgeable about gluten containing options on the menu. Limited options, but great quality of what I could eat. Peel and eat shrimp were excellent, as was the blackened redfish. I wish some of the crab options (she crab soup, crab dip, crab cake) were gf since I was at the Crab House. Also available were gf steam pots, dinner salads, burgers.

Our server was extremely knowledgeable about gluten, due to having a family member with celiac. She was very familiar with the safe items on the menu and double checked about one of the sauces. She said some chefs make the sauce differently, but on this night the sauce happened to be gluten free. I had the redfish with smashed potatoes and lima beans. Wonderful meal. One note . . . I had asked about several other items including the Charleston red rice . . .the spice on the rice contains gluten according to our server, so be aware. The garlic butter also contains bread crumbs.

There is not a GF menu but the waitress did check with the manager to make sure I could have the redfish, collards, and seasonal vegetables. She told me there was no separate cooking area. I am not celiac. The red fish was very good!

Had lunch here and it was delicious. There isn’t a separate gf menu, but our server was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I could eat and not. He made sure to make notes and let the kitchen know too. They don’t have a designated fryer. Overall it was delicious, didn’t have a reaction and would go back again.

Made me very nervous. Waiter had very limited knowledge of gluten free food or cross contamination. Kitchen looked a hot mess. Everything came out together. Not very comfortable eating here. However I got the crab legs and did not get sick.

No separate menu, menu was not marked but staff was very knowledgeable of items with gluten. I chose items naturally gluten free (none fried) and only had a slight reaction - Likely due to cross contamination.

They did not have a separate gluten free menu but the server was very knowledgeable and happy to point out options on the menu. Also, the server was happy to ask questions when he didn't know. I had the crab legs. Very good!

Walked in and asked for their gluten-free menu and was immediately informed that they can't guarantee that anything will be gluten free since they don't have a gluten free kitchen. I appreciate that they informed me right away, but it was disappointing to know I'd probably be limited to salads. But this is not a gluten or celiac friendly restaurant.

Clueless and uncaring server didn't listen and brought me a drink with Stolis instead of what I asked for - Smirnoff. Now I'm going to be very sick. Waaaaaa.

They no longer have a gluten free menu. My waitress was not knowledgeable of what had gluten. I should have taken her suggestion of a salad with no croutons. I got the grilled trio. The seafood was bland and chewy. Please use caution if you eat here, I'm up at 3:30 am with gluten symptoms.

The GF menu offered a nice selection, including shrimp and grits. After careful questioning and an extremely helpful server, I was satisfied that the grits were truly gluten free, i.e. they use cream, no breading, and nothing is fried. It was also determined that the collard greens were safe as well.

One of the biggest things to watch out for is how they cook the meat. I found out that they cook the shrimp on a shared grill and it is highly possibly that whatever sauce has previously been used will cross contaminate GF food. I was happy that the server was able to have the cooks use a separate pan to cook my GF shrimp in.

Staff was GF knowledgable and accommodating. Separate GF Menu that had several choices. Had the shrimp and crab combo platter for lunch. Had the grits and shrimp appetizer and it was very good. They brought the BBQ sauce on the side for my friend.

Gluten free menu available upon request. It looks small, but it gives a good range on seafood and side options, so there a number of combinations you could put together. I ended up with the gluten free Cheesy Shrimp and Grits - it was quite tasty and filling.

GF menu is pretty big. This is a chain and the food quality is pretty good but not as good as other options in Charleston. My Mahi was very overdone/dry but the shrimp & scallops were good. The collard greens were delicious! Shrimp & grits were very tasty!!

They must have redone the menu since the first reviewer went there. It is now front and back with 5 or 6 sides listed. I had a wonderful meal last night! I recommend the cheesy shrimp and grits. Soooooo good!!! The staff was super friendly even though my friend and I went in 15min before the kitchen closed. I didn't like the Dark and Stormy cocktail I ordered, so they offered to make me a new one and only charged me for the second drink.

This restaurant's gf menu was very bland. It was just a white sheet of printer paper with some things typed up. The items included salad (no croutons), steamed shrimp, crab, mahi mahi etc (no seasoning or butter). Didn't even list one side. The food was OK.
