Not safe at all. The gluten free empanadas are in the same display as gluten ones. The vendor had absolutely no idea of cross contamination or even gluten.

We had a very hard time finding safe, gluten free options in Miami Beach. This place had several GF empanadas and macaroons. Most GF items were were in the same case as the regular items and they were using the same tongs for everything, not ideal but desperate times call for desperate measures. They did have one egg and cheese gf sandwich that was pre-wrapped. The food was good and my son (who has celiac) did not get sick.
