Chef Mickey's Place

I had high hopes, but ended up really disappointed. My son has Celiac so we were excited to find a place with GF options listed on the menu. We specifically talked to the waiter about his food needing to be GF and ordered the Mar y Tierra for him which was listed as GF. It came out with two big, fried onion rings on his steak. They thankfully remade his steak. The bill ended up being $200 USD for our family of 5, which was a bit surprising for the area. The waiter was nice and the food was okay. We absolutely would not go back though. Especially since we didn’t really feel like they were familiar with our needs anyway.

Excellent food and I felt very safe eating it. Menus clearly marked GF choices. Waiter took note of allergy and confirmed my tortillas were corn when delivering food.

Fajitas were so huge. Giant portions you can share.

We have eaten here quite a few times over the past couple of years. I am very sensitive to cross contamination, so I'm always very cautious when eating out. They are very knowledgeable regarding gf. I have had 2 different occasions (out of eating there 20+ times) where they accidentally put croutons on my salad, but where good about getting a whole new salad (not just taking the croutons off). I do like that their menu has clearly marked gf items, and their staff knows what is abs isn't gf. I definitely recommend.

This place was awesome! Great food and Celiac safe. We had the fajitas and they didn’t disappoint. Huge portions of very well prepared food. Stay away from the chips (fried in shared fryer). The chef was awesome and assured us everything we had was GF. A bit more expensive than other places but so worth the comfort of knowing it’s GF and your not going to get sick.

We had a great meal here. I was very apprehensive to eat out after researching Puerto Peñasco online. The service was excellent and they were very accommodating. Our server understood GF very well and checked in with me on a few things. Three of us are celiac and no one got sick. The food was very good and I’m very thankful we were able to have a nice meal out. We will be back.
