This is a high-end French restaurant with a rockstar female chef but still somewhat casual vibe with a neighborhood feel. Prices are not cheap but given the exceptional quality, the value is high—fancier places with similar or lower quality would be far more expensive. Because I reserved my table in advance, they were prepared with gluten-free bread and were even able to adapt the 5-course tasting menu to be safe for me, even noting that they would avoid cross contact due to my celiac. To eat this many safe courses of French food is so rare for me, it’s like the unicorn of restaurant experiences. The waiter was very patient and translated everything into English (the menu is exclusively in French) and conferred with the chef to double-check everything would be ok. I also took the wine pairings and didn’t have any problems. I feel so fortunate and want to return and try their famous smoked chicken. If you are open-minded, take the 5-course menu...it’s all at the chef’s discretion. You don’t get to choose and you are not told what you will eat until it arrives at the table. Some things may appear that are not on the menu and they can be the best of all. For me, this kind of surprise is delightful, especially since it is so unusual to be able to eat like this as a celiac.
