Updated (2023): my 7 year old gets fries and chocolate milk most of the time. no issue ever. Sometimes she gets ice cream in a cup or a GF bun.

Our daughter (celiac) usually gets some combination of milk, apple juice, chips, the gluten free bun, applesauce, fruit cup, or yogurt. All these things have been safe for her to eat. I've read the fries and grilled nuggets are generally safe but she has not tried those. Perhaps when she is older and understands the risks involved a little more. Overall, this is not a bad option for drive thru or fast food when you have a kid with celiac.
