When you order curbside your can note in the app special instructions: celiac/no gluten/change gloves and to bag separately
Management informed me that fries are in a dedicated fryer and grilled chicken has its own grill that is used.
Management was able to talk me through their safety protocols with handling celiac flagged orders and I felt confident in their process.
My daughter is extremely sensitive with cross contamination and had no issues at all! She loves the waffle fries, grilled chicken nuggets and vanilla ice-cream!
Chick-fil-A offers gluten free grilled chicken nuggets and many locations have dedicated fryers for fries. Check with your location if cross-contamination is a concern for you.
For GF fast food, Chick Fil A is the only place I reasonably trust. This location is not one of those. I ordered online for a grilled chicken breakfast bowl that is ordinarily GF. I spoke to the drive thru assistant and notified them of my celiac and asked for all steps to be taken for CC.
I got home and began to eat my food and found regular chicken nuggets in the bowl mixed in with the grilled chicken. I only noticed it after eating a piece of the breaded chicken. Subsequently, got symptomatic and have been sick for the last 36 hours.
I understand that fast food is notorious for being scary for celiacs but ordinarily I feel relatively safe at CFA. This location didn’t take responsibility when I notified them of the error and I do not feel comfortable eating here again.
Dedicated fryer at this location, so the fries are gluten free.
