Great service. Just tried their gluten free bun grilled chicken sandwich. The bun is pre packaged separately so you get to put it together. I would give the bun 3 out of 5 stars. I give Chick-fil-A a 10 for being pro active with the bun
One of two locations in Burleson. Always a nice and easy time here... I usually get the grilled nuggets and fries,a side salad, or fruit cup, all of which are GF with no modifications. Fries are fried in a dedicated fryer. Side salads are premade with no gluteny stuff in them.
When we went to order takeout, our cashier was extremely knowledgable and explained everything to us, especially how the gf chicken sandwich is prepared. When we got home- we realized everything we ordered was prepared as regular instead of gf, even after our lengthy conversation with the cashier about the gluten free preparation :(
I went there on Saturday and used my Nima sensor which said the food was safe and I had no reactions. Today I went back and went through the same process, but my Nima showed it wasn’t safe. The gentleman taking the order was unsure so I made sure to test and I’m happy I did.
GF buns available in their own package!
The chicken sandwiches are so tasty and the gluten free buns don’t fall apart and are delicious. Definitely will be coming back. The staff are super nice and the manager even came over and ask how we liked the Gluten free Bun. Seriously the best fast food service ever!
I was excited to find out that the Chick Fil A at University of Houston now carried gluten free buns. I ordered their grilled chicken sandwich meal, and was extremely upset to find that the sandwich wasn’t even prepared. The buns came in a bag and was still cold. The buns were very crumbly and honestly just a waste of my money. Gluten free buns should be warmed up. It’s not fair.
Tested grilled nuggets, fries, and a chocolate shake with my Nima sensor. All came back with smiley faces, meaning they are gluten free! Great location for grilled chicken nuggets, grilled chicken sandwich (with GF bun in wrapper), fries, ice cream, and shakes. Celiac safe.
When I ordered a grilled nugget meal without the marinade (because the marinade currently used has gluten), I was told they could not do it. That the operator doesn’t allow them to make any menu modifications. I have never ran into this issue before. They also said they couldn’t even do fries with no salt. When I asked what they offered for those on a gluten free diet the manager said they had a gluten free bun. It’s awesome they have the bun but without the ability to do the grilled chicken without the marinade it doesn’t help those who have celiac.
Tried their new GF bun a couple months ago and decided to write a review. I've tried it 2 or 3 times and almost each time was different. The first time I got it, the sandwich came in a box with the grilled chicken, lettuce and tomato (extra 25 cents for lettuce and tomato) it was pretty good but when I was finished I realized it barley fell apart like most GF bread products BUT the next time I tried it (1-2 months later) the grilled chicken came in a box with lettuce and tomato and the bun came in a sseparate package. Not sure why they did this (maybe an upgrade?) But they was at a DIFFERENT CHICK-FIL-A RESTAURANT and the bread it self also barley fell apart?! But I didn't get sick and I would recommend this!
I eat here pretty often and haven't gotten sick so far. I just make sure to tell them I have a gluten allergy (some aren't sure what celiac means), and they put an allergy marker on my order. They change gloves and keep things separate. Their fries are cooked in a dedicated drier. The grilled chicken sandwiches and grilled chicken nuggets are safe as well. They recently came out with a gf bun that stays in the package to prevent cross contamination. It's not the best one I've ever had, but it's decent when I'm in the mood for a sandwich. I do wish they would come out with better gf breakfast options, though.
Great meal tonight. Delicious grilled Chicken sandwich on a nice soft Gluten Free Bun. The fact that they serve the bun in a sealed package and the chicken, lettuce and tomato in a unique container show show Chick-Fil-A go the extra to make you visit a pleasure. Always friendly and always accommodating! Way to go Chick-Fil-A!!!
Chick-fil-A is my go to for fast food gluten free food. I can safely eat a couple salads, grilled nuggets, and fries. Their fries have a dedicated fryer, and you can find all allergen info on their app. They also just recently came out with a gluten free bun but I've yet to try it. Never had any problems with eating here.
this location is fantastic at gluten free. I always order carry out ( the tray could be a source of cross contamination so even when dinning in, I get it to go ) and I get grilled nuggets and waffle fries. Then I ask the staff to change their gloves, ( they usually put it as a red flag and sometimes run to tell the kitchen). I also have chick fil a sauce. celiac friendly .
One of my favorite spots! I always order the grilled chicken nuggets and fries. I notify the staff when I order that I have celiac and have not had any issues with this location. They fry the fries in a dedicated fryer. Watch your sauces though, not all of those are gluten free.
Lunch: Great place to eat. The GF lunch sandwich seemed legit. Bread was a bit sweet and hardened up rather quickly. It came in a separate factory sealed package. I would just save $ and go with grilled nuggets and fries (all their fries are GF) Breakfast: Where else can you get 2 scrambled eggs, 4oz grilled chicken and hash browns for under $4? Great deal! Very good. A tad salty but the mayo helped. NOTE: I noticed that this facility stores the cooked grilled chicken and fried chicken in the same warming tray. There may have been some contamination. I didn’t get sick. Just a heads up.
The manager attended to us right away and was very good to show us ingredients for everything, items guaranteed gf . He was very knowledgeable about their fryers and grills. They also have gf buns . They red flag our allergy order to alert workers to change gloves and bag separately. We felt good about feeding our daughter here!
Chickfula kitchen is not all gluten free. I don't recommend people that have gluten free diet.
Grilled chicken nuggets are good, along with the waffle fries. I tried to GF bun which was a nice try; but when I went to put mustard on it, it began to disintegrate and it was ultra dry and extremely crummy. I appreciate the effort but I will order the chicken club without the bun. Less mess.
Features: i called this location today 10-19-17. they told me it is NOT safe to eat anything here if you have celiac as their food prep process will contaminate otherwise GF foods like grilled chicken nuggets. they are prepped on the same surface as breaded ones, same to tongs used, etc.
