Very helpful and friendly staff. The manager was glad I told him about my allergy to gluten as he made the staff fixing my plate change their gloves. Also they put crackers on my plate and the assistant manager found out and took my plate back and had them redo my order.
I had lunch from this place today. Staff was very informed about cd. Food was really good! Hate that it's at Pier Park and I'm here during Spring break which means I had to park and walk but that's my own doing. Lots of gf options. Just ask. Will definitely be back.
So many flavors to pick from! Super nice staff ! The restaurant is clean and bright. Our party of four each had something different, including one that was gluten free! We did not leave hungry 😊. The manager waited on us and he was knowledgeable about the menu and what he could offer that is GF. He offered substitutes for bread and cookies. Very nice!
Most of their Chicken Salad options are Gluten free and marked on the menu. Scoops are available and are placed on lettuce. Disclaimer said "Our products are prepared in house where allergens may be present." Their Fruity Fran chicken salad was very tasty.
Very accommodating. Changed gloves and my order was clearly correct. I asked for extra lettuce leaves instead of crackers and was provided several with no question. My husband was with me and, without asking, they placed items I couldn’t have that came with my meal (cookie, crackers) on his plate. Lettuce was crisp and fresh- didn’t even miss the crackers!
Cashier had no idea what was gluten free. Asked for a manager. Spoke to a woman who asked everyone to change there gloves. Got my food with crackers and a cookie. Went and asked for a manager. Spoke to a man who said he was sure it was fine since they were wrapped. Didn’t care about my allergy. Do not eat here!
Beware. While most of their menu is gluten free I got sick after eating here. When I ordered and specified no bread no crackers I got a brief nod back but they made no notation. When my two scoops arrived with wrapped crackers and a cookie I asked the server. She said “we try not to touch the cookie to the food”. Cross contamination must be rampant in the back because I am not usually that sensitive. And took a chance and ate there anyway. Seems like a big chain like this would have better training but they had just opened a couple weeks before.
Great staff! I FREQUENT this location! Every time I inform them I have celiac, they are so kind about it and immediately notify the kitchen. Ive never had a flare up. I’d recommend to anyone who has celiac! They never make me feel bad about my disease. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Just okay. The cashier refused to tell me what was in the salad ("you'll like it," she said) so it arrived covered in cheese (I'm LI too) and wasn't the one I ordered anyway (buffalo and cranberries, not great a great mix). Plate had crackers and a cookie on it. Pretty clueless about allergies.
I order a scoop of Fancy Nancy and Sassy Scotty with broccoli salad. They do not have gluten free bread. I have them hold the crackers and cookie. I hope they one day offer GF bread. The chicken salad is delicious. The website tells you what menu items are GF. They have always taken good care of me. Always investigate for your own needs.
Ate here last week and didn’t get sick! Staff seemed knowledgeable about cross contamination and assured me they changed gloves and prepared my meal separately. The chicken salad and pimento cheese are delicious!
I told the cashier that I had a gluten allergy when I ordered my food. But, my plate still came out with a cookie and crackers. I will give them another chance. Next time I will be more specific and say “do not put a cookie and crackers on my plate.” My food was very tasty. Almost all of their chicken salads are marked GF however they do not offer any gluten-free bread or crackers. You’ll have to bring your own.
Most chicken salads are gluten free, and they feature so many delicious variations. When I said I was a celiac, the kitchen got fresh scoops and served from inventory instead of what was being used to make sandwiches. The manager has a friend with celiac who eats here often so she knows what to do to keep us safe. Wonderful food. Happy place. Great service!
Most of the menu is GF and quite good. I’ve eaten here many times over the past two years and never had a reaction to the food. When I place my order, I explain to the cashier that I need my plate to be gluten free and to hold the crackers and cookie.
Staff is extremely knowledgeable on gluten free items, in addition to an online or in person allergy listing menu. When asking, she assured my food would stay separate from others and they subbed crackers for a pickle! I love their food. It’s so yummy and healthy. I will definitely be a repeat customer. I have celiac and did not get sick. Many menu items to choose from.
I truly enjoyed the gf chicken salad served on a lettuce leaf and broccoli salad. Be sure to tell them no cookie and no wrapped whole wheat crackers. Neither came in contact with my gluten free food choices,
The chicken salads are delicious! That said, I experienced the same as another user here, in that they gave me a ton of crackers and a cookie. The first time I went it was fine, since they were all packaged and I could give them away. The second time the cookie was not packaged. They did not replace my food but just removed the cookie, crumbs still all over. Pretty clear they are not educated about allergies here.
Server provided plenty of info and showed which items were GF. I ordered two scoops. When brought to the table, there were several packs of Wheat crackers and a cookie (not GF) on my plate! I confirmed that they were not GF. There were crumbs on one scoop that were likely from the cookie. I flicked them off. Nice try but if I’m ordering a GF item, why would you include several gluten items? Update - as of the next day I did not react at all but it was a risky meal.
The menu has "GF" clearly marked to show which items are gluten free. All their varieties of chicken salad are gluten free. For close to eight bucks, you get a scoop of chicken salad and a side, which is fruit, grapes with a cream cheese dressing (yum) or a broccoli salad. Declining the bread, the crackers, and the small sugar cookie that have gluten leaves you with a fairly small lunch. I asked about gluten free soups. the cashier, who was clueless, asked the manager, who said the tortilla soup was GF. I checked their website and it verified the tortilla soup was gf. My daughter had a taste but I ate most of it. I Got Sick. Sicker than I've ever been. I know it was the soup because my daughter didn't get sick, she had a slight reaction, but nothing like mine. also, after telling the cashier that we have celiac, after the manager telling cashier to put gluten allergy on the order, when it came out, there were wrapped wheat crackers and am unwrapped cookie on the plates. we told her we can't have that and she went to remove the crackers. we told her the cookie too. she said it's not what it's just a sugar cookie. Zero gluten training at this restaurant. good chicken salad but beware
All the chicken salads are gluten free. The menu is marked with which items are gluten free. However, even though I asked for my combo meal to NOT be served with crackers and a cookie, and they understood and agreed, someone forgot and put them on the plate anyway. They had to take it back and make a new one. So, if you go, you really need to get the point across. However, the food was very tasty and I did not get sick.
Chicken salad is available as a scoop instead of on a sandwhich. It comes with a side and everything on the menu is clearly labeled with a GF. It came with crackers in packages and a cookie that is not GF. I loved the lemony basil. My mom got the cranberry one.
The food was excellent and the staff were very knowledgeable about gluten allergies. My wife had no reactions at all. She had chicken salad and fruit for lunch on yesterday. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great place! All of the chicken salads are gluten-free & a couple of the sides. The bread is not, but the chicken salad was so delicious you almost don't want the bread to mask the taste. They also do a great job of acknowledging someone needing to be gluten-free and put notes on the receipt for gloves to be changed before your food is made.
You can get the chicken salad as a scoop and it's all gluten free. They also have an allergen list which includes gluten and they are very careful if you tell them you have an issue with gluten. Not to mention the food is absolutely amazing.
