I love Chihiro! A larger part of their menu can be made gluten free. Some are marked that they can be made gluten free and some are marked that they cannot be made gluten free. If you have any questions, ask your server. If they don't know, they will ask the kitchen to confirm.

I had the shrimp and vegetable tempura (yes, gluten free!) and chicken fried rice. 😋

Their orange chicken is my husband's favorite, he's an especially big fan of the onions that accompany it. His was not gluten free, but if you like orange chicken, gluten free is an option!

If you have not been here, you should go give it a try! They even have gluten free lava cakes for dessert (I haven't tried it because I've been too full!).

UPDATE: I would not recommend this location anymore. It seems they have a shared kitchen now and do not have the same practices as before. I got sick from my food the last 2 times I ate here. Once for pickup and once at the restaurant.

My husband and I ate here for date night, and we were extremely impressed. I have been trying to find a sushi place that has gluten free specialty rolls. Some places you can find gluten free sushi, but the sauces are not gluten free, so you can only get the bland, boring ones. Everything I wanted on the menu was made gluten free for us, and they even have a dedicated fryer for the tempura dishes. Our server was very careful and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back there.

I was sooooo excited for GF sushi and had very high hopes. They made me feel comfortable with how it was prepped and their knowledge on it. I NIMA tested a GF Volcano and GF Babineaux. Both came back with Gluten Found. Jennifer was great, and the food looked amazing, but sadly it was not safe.

They were extremely understaffed, brought our food out wrong several times and then I still ended up getting sick (probably due to being short staffed and not being as careful with cross contamination). Whatever the reason, I was seriously ill. On top of all that our sushi was very so so and it used to be fantastic. So overall I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Absolutely amazing! I have been GF for almost a year now and learning what to say, how to ask if finally becoming easier. After research and calling Chihiro, we made reservations for 12 people and I was the only one whom is GF. Was informed that have a dedicated fryer, they change cutting boards, utensils and gloves. Was also informed that a large part of their customers are GF as well. I got the tuna tower, Wyvern roll & chocolate lava cake and all were amazing. Everyone else that was with us was very happy with their meal too! I will be back.

Best GF sushi and fried tempura I’ve ever had ! Most of their items on their menu can be made gluten free and they even have a dedicated fryer ! The quality sushi is great and the overall taste is the best I’ve had in dfw area. First off, heads up their location has moved they are across the street and it looks like you’re walking in the wrong place. The food is 100% fantastic and out of this world. it might be worth the plane ride just to come get this! They totally understand gluten-free including imitation crab meat substitution for real crab meat and they can actually fry stuff and still be gluten-free without cross-contamination! Score! This place also totally wins my vote with over the top customer service!

I love Chihiro! The inside has great ambiance for a small local business, and I’ve ordered takeout from them several time during the pandemic with no issue. Once my gluten eating husband and I ordered the same roll and the restaurant called me to confirm if both needed to be gluten free. The sushi is super fresh and love that I can have tempura items! Will keep coming back as long as I live in the mid-cities :)

I called to make a reservation earlier in the day, after finding this restaurant on this app. The woman who answered the phone was extremely friendly and assured me that they are able to make almost anything on their menu gluten-free, have a dedicated GF frier, and can even make tempura and eel sauce gluten-free. What a treat!!

When my partner arrived before me, the server immediately pulled the soy sauce from the table and replaced it with a GF soy sauce (indicating the person I spoke to when making my reservation notated that we were gluten-free). The server was very reassuring and knowledgeable about the options, and everything was delicious. I didn't have any reactions afterwards. We had the calamari, kamikazi roll, David's Rajun Cajun roll, Torched Salmon roll, and the gluten-free chocolate cake (which isn't on the menu we were given but I remembered it from reviews I read online and I think it's on their online menu). Everything was honestly incredible. We have already decided that this will be part of our regular rotation and intend on stopping by a couple times a month.

I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't take the take to take and photos of our items, but trust when I say that everything was as beautifully prepared as it was delicious and *safe*.

Absolutely WONDERFUL sushi place. Everything I ate was delicious and safe for Celiacs. I have not had sushi and not gotten sick from gluten since I was diagnosed with celiac five years ago.

The staff, especially Steve are very knowledgeable about gluten free options. Almost everything can be made gluten free and they have a dedicated GF fryer. They have also made the switch to only GF soy sauce which is great. Steve hand makes all GF sauces. The fried calamari is the best I’ve ever had. All of the rolls and sushi are fantastic. Highly recommend whether you have a Gluten allergy or not.

Very yummy! The staff were knowledgeable and able to list the precautions they take for celiac customers. Took a little longer to get my food because they cleaned the kitchen for me. This place was amazing!! The owner served us and she said that they were from Boston where 90 percent of their customers were gluten free. She knew everything that was gluten free or could be made gluten free which was almost everything on their menu! They have a separate gluten free fryer and also had gluten free tempura batter so we could get the sushi with tempura crunchies inside. Every roll we had was delicious! I would highly recommend!

Chihiro has become my go to sushi place above all others. The staff is super knowledgeable and accommodating, and literally everything on the menu can be prepared gluten free with the sole exception of the gyoza. Love this place and they really have great sushi.

The best sushi I’ve ever had!! They can make any roll on the menu gluten free. Dedicated gluten free fryer. We got the Dreamliner roll, spicy yellowtail roll, edamame, fried calamari, and miso soup! Just be sure to always say to make whatever roll you want gluten free! Amazing!! Will definitely be back!

I was honestly pleasantly surprised! They were able to identify what was gluten free and what could be made gluten free. Had gluten free soy sauce. The California roll was so so good. So nice to finally have real crab meat! Will be back!!

This is a little hole in the wall, very unassuming and you’d miss it if you didn’t know it was here. They can make most menu items GF, including several tempura items. The crab salad and rolls were bad. The fried calamari was flavorless. Everything else we ordered was good. I recommend the Dreamliner roll, it was fresh and tasty.

I had tempura shrimp and regular sushi rolls. Staff was so nice and I can’t wait to return. Cute ambiance also!
