Chilangos Mexican Restaurant

This place came highly recommended by fellow Celiacs. It did not disappoint! So darn delicious!!! I wish I could have eaten there everyday I was in Belleville. Wyatt was our server and he was so great. I would recommend to anybody!!!

Lots of options as most things are corn based. Staff is very friendly - Riley at the bar looked after us.. super friendly and great recommendations. Wednesdays are Burrito Days - YUM! Dairy-free options too, which is a double blessing

Really enjoyed my enchiladas verde and appetizers. Although not GF my wife really liked the enchiladas poblanos too.

85% of the menu is GF, and the rest can be modified. Our server had a mom who is celiac, so he understood very well. Burrito bowl was incredible!

I have to say I was impressed with Chilangos. I always call ahead before I dine out, and the manager answered my questions well explaining what would be safe for me to eat and what had potential risks. We had the best waitress, she was SO aware of the menu and was really kind explaining what I could order safely. The food itself was delicious, some of the best nacho chips I’ve ever had! They do have a dedicated fryer. My advice would just be to ask the right questions as their grill does have a risk for cross contamination so it’s best you ask about the menu item you’re interested in. I look forward to dining here again!

Driving home from Toronto and stuck in terrible traffic. We decided to get off in Belleville. Had a delicious lunch with my family at a very small place called Chilangos. The food was excellent - fresh and authentic. Started with guacamole appetizer. Almost everything is gluten free, which was great for my son and husband, who are Celiac. My son had nachos, which he loved. Big portions. I had sopes- soft tacos. Very tasty. I would definitely come back. Bathrooms were nice and clean too.

Only two items on the menu contain gluten. They were awesome to deal with and no cross issues for us. Love the outdoor patio and food.
