The choco frío was worth feeling my dairy intolerance. I would want to try the mocha flavor next time. The chocolate pancakes are better with regular syrup than the chocolate syrup unless you want diabetes- per husband.

Food was excellent, GF selection was limited, English was sufficient that they understand cross contamination, but that's certainly dependant on the server.
Important to note that some items marked GF on menu did have cross contamination.

I got the pulled pork mofongo, which was delicious. They do not have a specific gluten free menu, but are happy to switch out as needed. Unfortunately the plantains were deep-fried in a shared fryer to act as tacos for the meat. However, the waiter caught it and let me know so I didn’t have problems. As mentioned in other reviews, it’s a shared open kitchen, so beware of possible cross-contamination.

If you have celiac or don’t do well with cross contamination don’t eat here. The kitchen is an open concept and due to the about of baked goods and shared surfaces it’s not a good combo. Menu states “GF” and naturally they are, but not with the kitchen set up.

Our waiter was unfamiliar with gluten, but always asked. Everything in the restaurant is made of chocolate and is heaven for gluten eaters. I got a traditional breakfast which was very good.
