I was very impressed with Chubbys. I ordered the Utah burger on a GF bun and the coleslaw. They Do Not have a dedicated GF fryer. The fries are on their gluten friendly list. But when asked about a dedicated fryer they stated they do not have a dedicated fryer and the fries are fried with the battered fries and other gluten containing menu items. Their coleslaw is amazing and the gluten free bun is my absolute favorite! It looks, tastes and feels like a real bun. They also have a gf monster cookie available that is so good. I make sure they know I need them to change gloves and keep my food separate. They are knowledgeable and clean up before preparing my food. I haven't gotten sick either of the 2 times I've eaten here.
I got the mushroom Swiss burger and I was told it was gluten free. I’m not as sensitive as all of you so I just took their word for it. The burger was amazing and the bun is probably the best gluten-free burger bun in Utah. I got the regular fries and they are bland as heck so don’t feel bad that you can’t get them due to the shared fryer. We were also bummed because “they ran out of shakes” which I doubt because it was 6 on a weekday and that’s a lot of lost profit. I’m guessing something bigger happened like a broken shake machine. Overall I love this place and have had many delicious burgers there.
Ordered a burger and fries. When I called in, they explained that for an allergy, they will clean the cooking area before preparing. They said their fries are gf as well. I had to call again when I got home to make sure the bun was gf. It had sesame seeds on it and I wasn't used to seeing a gf bun that way. They explained that gluten buns are light in color with nothing on them and the gf buns were darker and had seeds. I appreciate that they took the time to explain things for me. Fries were, "meh." They tasted a little stale, but it won't keep me from coming back again.
