I had a salad and sushi roll. Waiter was very accommodating and I always feel safe here. I’ve had the miso soup, edamame, and the filet dinner before as well. They cooked everything on a separate clean surface. Very pleased.

I eat here frequently for birthday dinners and other events and typically get the fish with vegetables. Staff is always eager to double check and make sure what I order is still gluten free. One of my favorite places to eat in Tuscaloosa!

Chuck’s is a long-standing restaurant in Tuscaloosa, AL. The atmosphere is nice. It’s always pretty crowded and popular amongst locals. They don’t have a GF menu but the servers are always knowledgeable about food allergies. I usually get the fish of the day and the veggies. It always tastes delicious and they take great care when preparing the food. The cocktails are always great. Unfortunately, it’s expensive for our family of 4, we usually spend around $200, so we don’t go often. Definitely more of a special occasion place for us. I recommend that you check it out.

We called ahead to ask about gluten free options. They said they’re able to make all sushi gluten free and that everytbing on the menu can be GF besides the pizza. It’s not a dedicated facility, but since the pizza isn’t cooked around the sushi it’s generally safe. I did feel very sick after eating here, but my stomach is very sensitive to fish/seafood so I’m guessing that’s why. Their rice on the sushi is GF
