Fabulous experience here! Beautiful setting, delicious food; knowledgeable staff. The GF roll that came with their GF clam chowder was so good I had to double check it was gluten-free! Roast chicken was delicious. I’d definitely come back.

We went as a family with our 2 four year old boys and they were immediately welcoming & interactive with them!
My partner has been missing clam chowder and we were thrilled to see it on their menu. The server marked her order as GF for the kitchen to know. Told us they made the gf chowder to order in dedicated pans/tools and that they have a dedicated French fry fryer to avoid cross contamination!
The rest of our food came out and she made it a point to bring the GF food to our table separately on its own tray. I could see how much my partner felt cared for and never like her allergy was an inconvenience.
We were able to have a beautiful meal as a family without the stress or ignorance of the allergy/life with littles. We will be back!!

The menu is clearly labeled with gluten free options. There’s a wide variety to choose from and I didn’t feel like I was missing out. We (three adults, two 4 year olds) got the nachos (huge plate, plenty of leftovers to bring home) to share. I had gluten free chowder (SO delicious) and the fries. I’ll be back to try to dessert options.

Make sure to mention gf beginning of meal so they bring you bread individually!
The owners, kitchen and wait staff all understand gluten free very well. The kitchen has very strict protocols. And the food is delicious! Definitely try the gf clam chowder.

Excellent gf dinner. Alfredo seafood dish was very good. Gf brownie, too. Great service and value.
My husband and I had dinner here last night. It was delicious! I had the salmon gluten free and dairy free. No issues after eating. Would highly recommend eating here. Sat on the deck over looking the water.

Had the grilled chicken sandwich on a gluten free bun with French fries for a side. Absolutely delicious! The bun held together well and the pepper jam was delightful. The chicken was grilled perfectly. I would definitely recommend Clancys!

The French fries are gluten free! I always have trouble finding truly gluten free fries that aren’t crossed in the fryer. Well, that was my favorite part of my meal (steak tips). I didn’t get sick but the food was definitely average and lack luster. (Honestly, a little seasoning would have gone a long way. Tips weren’t cooked correctly too.) All of us in my party rated the place as average. The outdoor view is BEAUTIFUL! I may go back for just drinks and nachos to chill on the patio because I didn’t get sick so clearly someone knows how to do gf correctly.

My friend and I stopped here for lunch. I saw all the high safety ratings and thought it would be my best bet. We started with the nachos which were definitely corn chips. I checked with our server to make sure they were not fried in a shared fryer. I was told they were not. Nachos tasted fine. For the entree I got the Chicken Kari-Anne. I’m not sure which one did me in but 12 hours later I’m still feeling the after effects of being sick. Likely due to cross contamination as if it were the food itself I usually react right away.

I haven’t had clam chowder for 12 years and their gf chowder was absolutely wonderful! Items that can be made gf are clearly marked and the server was knowledgeable. They do have a dedicated fryer if you want the fries or sweet potato fries.

The menu is clearly marked with which items can be made GF. I had the seafood pasta and it was really good (it's a corn based pasta). They seemed to take it seriously and I did not have any problems afterward. Just be sure to mention to your server that you need GF for medical reasons.

Very good with handling gluten free. My meal came out separately. I got the edamame burger. It was different and not quite what I was expecting for a veggie burger. It was very well made.

Server was fantastic, gluten free options were marked on the menu and she advised all of the safe options. She even noted that they bring the gluten free meals out on a separate tray to avoid cross contamination. Delicious Turkey club sandwich and fries, all cooked separately. Would 100 percent return to clancy’s.

Had dinner here recently while spending a week on the Cape. Clancy’s gets good reviews on this platform as well as some gf groups I follow, so we gave it a try. Service started a little cold, but warmed up throughout the meal. Not sure if it was us asking for kids menus or skipping drinks (I later got one), but the server seemed uninterested at first. I asked some questions about the items marked GF and wanted to know if there was a dedicated fryer. I’ve seen things labeled gluten free in the past only to be told they share oil with breaded items (looking at you Flash Back in Hyannis). Server just kept saying if it is marked gf, then it’s gf. That never gives me a warm fuzzy feeling for safety or knowledge.
I ordered some chowder and the fish tacos. Server brought real bread for the kids and a warm gluten free roll for me. This is when the attitude improved and we ended up having good small talk through the rest of the meal. Food was all very good. However, the tacos should really be labeled as tostadas. They were on flat fried tortillas, not crispy or soft folded tacos. I don’t like the mess of eating tostadas, so probably would have switched my order. Still good though.
We didn’t do dessert, but the server said they did have gf options, so maybe next time. All in all, nice place with views of the river and many options for celiacs.

Great food, Gluten free choices on the menu. The waitress was very knowledgeable about celiac and checked with chef to see if the swordfish on the special menu could be cooked gluten free.

Many gluten free options marked on menu as “can be made gluten-free.” Very friendly and attentive staff. Fresh ingredients. Indoor, & out-door seating along Swan Pond River, a beautiful nature scene with geese and swans. Beautiful and clean outdoor & indoor seating. We had the Tavern salad which was at least 2 full cups of fresh lettuce, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onion & shaved carrots with a choice of dressing. DH who is not GF, got the seafood plate with a generous amount of battered shrimp, scallops, clams, haddock. I had the chicken Kari-Ann which I asked for GF and it as delicious. It is GF ziti, chicken, & broccoli in a garlic & white wine sauce. The chicken was shredded not cubed just FYI. They had a GF broiled haddock dinner with mashed potatoes & vegetable, which I hope to try next. I believe they offered GF buns for the burgers. They also had steak tips and other seafood dishes. I did not see a GF next to any of the desserts but I did not order any. We definitely will be coming back!

They have a dedicated fryer, which is great, but I got sick from eating the steak sandwich with the Alouette cheese - after explaining that I am celiac & get severe reaction. The server was great, I think it was the kitchen who didn’t understand the severity.

I had the nachos as an appetizer with everyone and scallops for dinner that were so good! The waitress was knowledgeable and made me feel safe eating there. I might have to go back to get that bread though!

Our server was knowledgeable, and when I told him I had a gluten allergy, he noted via both a confident nod and by writing it down, then said he would bring a gluten free roll to the table. The roll was outstanding, and clearly fresh. For an entrée I ordered scallops over bacon risotto with arugula oil. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the bacon risotto was excellent. We were too full for dessert. Despite eating at Clancy's on a busy summer Friday evening, I felt confident in the care taken with my food and had no negative effects in the days afterwards. I would absolutely eat here again.

LOVE THIS PLACE! staff is so awesome, nice, knowledgeable, patient (hannah waited on us). Our meals were so fast! Food was so good that we got additional meals to go for later! We will be back. Only complaint is that I wish they were closer to Boston where we live.

AMAZING!!! I had such a fabulous experience! Fresh made delicious gf rolls, so many options (basically the whole menu can be made gf), and they had a dedicated fryer for fries (which are amazing)!

Amazing! Delicious and wonderful with food allergies. In our party of 5 kids, we had 2 celiacs, 1 dairy allergy and 1 Nut allergy and all was great.

Beat gluten free food on the cape. Best experience overall. Will go back every time we’re here.
The menu was clearly labeled with gluten free offerings and the staff clearly knew what gluten was. They even had gluten free rolls that were made in house
Atmosphere was very open with the view of the river outside the window. The waitress was very professional in treating us to GF rolls. This restaurant has become a tradition to go to whenever we are on the Cape. Their clam chowder was to die for.

I had my very first lobster roll made on a gluten free roll and French fries from a dedicated fryer. The lobster roll tasted awesome. Our waiter was very knowledgeable to gluten allergy and cross contamination. Definitely a great place to go enjoy a GF meal. Lots of choices on menu. I would mark this as one of my favorites of my vacation to Cape Cod.

Was very pleased with the gluten free options. They have many options that are gf, which are all clearly marked on the menu. One highlight is that they have gluten free rolls they put out with the meal (freshly made upon request). The also have gf sandwich buns. Gluten free pasta is also offered. I highly recommend Clancy’s for gf people.

Good selection on the menu, would like to see more options for non seafood eaters. But I went two days in a row. The French onion soup and sweet potato fries are AMAZING.
Staff was knowledgeable and reassuring about avoiding cross contamination. Had an amazing gf roll and the shrimp and scallop risotto, it was amazing and such a treat:) I felt safe eating here and would definitely return.
