Everything is GF UNLESS it is marked “G” for “has gluten” - that’s a switch!
Lunch menu and dinner menu filled with entrees. Our table had Jeera Saag with paneer, Biryani with chicken and raita, Vindaloo with lamb. Mango lassi is very thick. All was GF. But, decline the basket of naan bread. Mmmm. Authentic music piped in.

So the staff here isn’t all that great to begin with. They are not knowledgeable about the food. Also I don’t recommend this place at all since I ate at the “buffet” I was told they were gluten free items but later found out with my reaction that they are not gluten free. Again I don’t recommend this location if you are celiac or gluten sensitive. Heck I don’t recommend this place even if you weren’t because they are not knowledgeable about their on food. There must have been some sort of gluten contamination from a previous pot or the food itself.
They did try to make sure I was eating gluten free but my reaction says otherwise. I think people have the restaurant 5 stars because they were ordering single dishes that for sure didn’t have gluten such as mussels. Idk again I’m very disappointed I feel like I was basically lied too.
I guess what I’m saying for people with celiac or high gluten sensitivity. Be carful with the reviews or what you order. I’m almost sure mussels are fine.

Celiac approved. Had the mussels and lentil cakes for appetizers and the red wine with seafood entree with orders of extra chutneys. No reaction! Attentive staff too.

I thought the good was delicious and the buffet is great as well. I have eaten here a couple of times, never a disappointment and by far the most friendly wait staff I have encountered in a while!
Food was adequate. Service was abysmal. There is better Indian food in Austin. With friendlier, more attentive staff.

I love everything I have tried here. The servers are friendly and knowledgable plus the menu clearly states the gluten free dishes. The restuarant is clean and beautiful. I have never had a problem after eating at the Clay Pit and I am very sensitive to gluten. Plus the pricing is reasonable.
Ate the lunch buffet. Excellent and no worries about what I was eating.
Great selection of gluten free Indian food. The complete menu is marked to denote items containing gluten.
