I was just diagnosed as celiac just a few weeks ago. This is the first place I’ve tried eating out at and my experience was great! I’m a huge pizza lover of all kinds, I tried the grinder pizza and it was so delicious! I never got sick, I will definitely it’ll be going back and trying the rest of the very large gluten free menu!

Best place on our road trip so far! Our waitress, Riley, was so helpful and friendly. She was knowledgeable and double checked my dressing before she brought it out. Lots of gluten free choices on their separate menu, quiet atmosphere….very nice place to stop!

The food here was great! I got the cable car mac and cheese (with grilled chicken) and the brownie and they were excellent. They have a whole separate gluten-free free menu and the server was very knowledgeable.

They had a separate gluten free menu, which was the regular menu paired down. Server informed me that when he put it in it would be labeled and made sure it was gluten free, even though most were on the regular menu. Server told me about the fries cross contamination with the frier and informed me of the gluten free desert option. I ordered Brushetta Mahi Mahi. It was delicious!

I absolutely love this place! Stopped in for the first time after doing some shopping in the area. I looked up on my find me gf app that this restaurant had a lot of options for me and my sister since we are alleegic to gluten and dairy.

We were almost immediately with Abigail. She is absolutely wonderful and veey knowledgeable about what is gluten and not and was not afraid to go check if something had dairy in it.

She was on top of everything even though it was crazy busy and very attentive. We had some mixed drinks and we tried the the gf beef strogenoff and the not so gf vegetarian pasta because I added chicken to it. We also had the shrimp kabob and kids fries for appetizers.

We enjoyed everything and will be coming back. Cannot wait till we are back in town next!

Definitely a place you can eat at and have no worries if it will be gluten free. I love the Mac and cheese and the stuffed mushrooms. The deburgo I wasn’t as big of a fan of. I love a place where I can get an appetizer, a meal, and a dessert. This is one of the few places you can get all of the above.

Gluten free menu available. I had the mushroom appetizer and they subbed a gf bun for the bread (all of it so good). Had the Chicken sandwich with a baked potato and it was delicious! On the pricey side but would totally come again.

My wife is celiac and we were driving through Des Moines so we stopped. Staff was knowledgeable and had a good gf menu. The bacon wrapped shrimp kabob was amazing (and gf). Highly recommend this place.

I have eaten here multiple times and not gotten sick! The Philly cheesesteak is delicious, but my favorite is the beef stroganoff. It is not something you usually see on a gluten free menu and is so, so good!

It’s so sad...the original owners sold the business. When I called to verify if the gluten free menu was still celiac safe the manger said “he believes so but you can’t guarantee because the staff always changes”. Such a shame for the Iowa Celiac Community 😕

12/20/17 Update - so I decided to give Club Car a second try. I loved this place prior to diagnosis and felt like last time was probably an anomaly. Glad to report it was. Waitress was friendly, answered questions, and assured me it was safe. Glad to report I had a delicious gluten free meal. They have a dedicated gluten free menu (with lots of options) and a separate cooking area.

When I asked about GF options and how items were prepared, the waitress was extremely dismissive. My dining partner who is not GF was given the 100% wrong item. I can only hope my food was actually gf. Next day update: my food was definitely not gluten free

This is hands down the best place I have ate at that offers Gluten Free items. There are so many items for Gluten Free that it took me almost 10 minutes to decide! I had the Georgia Pork sandwich, with potato salad as the side, and Oh My Gosh! Sooo delicious I ate the whole thing, and I never do that. The bun was toasted to perfection, and it had a nice crunch to it with every bite. I also had the Cinnamon Toast Cruch Martini and it was super delicious. I will suggest this location to anyone and everyone that needs Gluten Free options when going to a restaurant. Thank you to the staff and BOH for being so accommodating to our allergies/disease.

This is our go-to restaurant now. We trust the staff and know that our food will be prepared carefully. They have a very large gf menu and our servers have always been very knowledgeable. The food is excellent. We just wish they had a dedicated fryer.

This is the best Gluten Free restaurant for safety and for taste overall. They always are very careful to make sure you get gluten free and they educate you on what they do to make your food safe. The family who owns this restaurant has a child who eats gluten free so they pay attention to the details. We have gone there for years! love it

Club Car has an extensive gluten-free menu that includes hamburgers and pizza. There isn't any gluten-free bread, just a pizza crust. The food is really good but the service needs improvement. The wait staff is knowledgable about accommodating a gluten free diet.

My adult daughter and I are Celiac and were thrilled to enjoy a wonderful GF meal in a restaurant. We both are great cooks so we tend to be fussy. From drinks to tipping,for perfect service, it was probably are most enjoyable dining experience since diagnosis! The Pizza and Mac n Cheese were delicious! They even have GF Beer!
