There was NOTHING to eat, if you truly are celiac! Not even the chips as they are fried with other items that have gluten. Very sad!

Love this place but they removed designated gluten-free items from their menu, due to the fact that they can't prevent cross-contamination. So, no good options at this time.

To say CoCo Bolo has gluten free options while technically correct lacks critical information. There are two entrees marked gluten free. Caribbean bbq shrimp and Thai pork. None of the chicken or steak or tacos are gluten free. There are three gluten free appetizers but one of them is the Caribbean shrimp.

I was in the mood for southern western flavored so I got the nachos appetizer. It was good. I liked the spiciness. But it was on the greasy side. Also, most of the chips were soggy. It could have used more beans and maybe put the salsa on the side.

My wife had a steak salad. She said it was delicious. She didn't notice any marinade or dry rub on the steak. Maybe the steak is not gluten free because of CC risks? Not sure.

We also had the cheese and chilis appetizer. It was like a cheese dip with chilis for flavor. We didn't like it, but also weren't in the mood for cheese dip. From the description we thought it was a plate of cooked chilis with some melted cheese. Unfortunately not. We left 3/4 of it uneaten.

The plates were large and generous. The food came out right after the appetizer. We barely had a couple bites of the cheese dip when the meals arrived. Made the appetizer pointless. If you don't have a full table to share the appetizer then skip it.
