Colors is a delightful, totally gluten-free restaurant. Celiacs rejoice! Staff is welcoming and attentive; the food excellent. Among the dishes we sampled were the  sweet corn risotto appetizer; buttermilk fried chicken; and hake with grape tomatoes and green goddess dressing. A strawberry and peach shortcake was shared for dessert. All were delicious. The restaurant just got its wine and beer license for this new location; nice wine list by the glass and bottle, with beer and cider coming soon. Highly recommended!

Colors Restaurant is a wonderful restaurant that happens to also be completely gluten free!! It's a great place for the non-gf crowd as well. The decor is very nice and the service is excellent! I highly recommend trying this gem, I don't think anyone in your party, gf or not, will be disappointed.

This was absolutely the best meal I have ever eaten!! The flavors were spectacular and one ingredient complemented the next. The ambiance was eclectic, service friendly and knowledgeable (and all the servers had really great hair) . Having celiac, I always had to settle for how the restaurant could barely accommodate me. Not here, EVERYTHING IS GLUTEN FREE! They have delicious fresh made biscuits, fries, wings, FRIED CHICKEN, mussels, steaks etc . My husband had the lamb (I am not a lamb fan) but I dreamed about it! The food was incredible!

Booked a reservation for our anniversary date night and it was the perfect choice! Our first time to Colors and we will definitely be back soon. Everything was delicious and 100% gluten free.

I was very impressed with the appetizers. It has been many many years since I've been able to have things like a shrimp cocktail or soft pretzel due to gluten intolerance. It made this restaurant more unique compared to other GF restaurants in NYC. And then the battered chicken over mashed potatoes with chipotle honey?! Salmon over lentils?! Amazing!! So great to indulge in a meal like this without worrying about gluten. It was also nice to choose from a menu that was not just all carb heavy dishes like a lot of other GF restaurants in NYC. Colors' healthy meat and veggie dishes were perfect for us.

The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgable. There were vegan/vegetarian options and they are accommodating to other food allergies.

Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend!!

Had the wings, they were great but the rest of the menu wasn't that appealing. They manager says that the menu changes a lot so I don't know if I went on a bad day...Didn't get sick here so that was good, but prob won't come back.

This app guided us here and we are so thankful for it! We had the calamari and wings for appetizers. For dinner we had the fried chicken. As I try to restrict my white potatoes, I substituted the parsnip purée instead. Everything was incredible! I did sample a tiny bite of my sons potatoes and they were amazing as well. I am looking forward to heading back and trying their other dishes!

We had plans for Sunday brunch in the city at another restaurant, but found it closed due to a basement collapse. The FMGF app guided us to Colors and am sure glad it did.

Was greeted enthusiastically by the host and were seated immediately. A Jazz trio started playing as we took in the ambiance. The restaurant has a great ambiance and feel to it.

All of the wait staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the food.

I was like a kid in a candy store. Since having to go GF, I never been to a restaurant that everything was GF. Fried chicken, biscuits, pancakes, breads, my head was spinning.

I had to ask the waiter for his recommendations and he did not let us down at all. Ended up getting the fried chicken with biscuits, pancakes with bacon and finally a braised beef short rib potato hash with eggs. They also brought out some yogurt with fresh berries for us to start, with a plate of their homemade pickles An interesting combo, but it worked.

The food was amazing. The smell of the fried chicken as it was brought to our table made out mouths water. If you made it this far down into the review, please note that this is great food for a regular fancy restaurant, not just good for GF.

You pretty much have to get the fried chicken and pancakes if you are here for brunch, I was actually questioning if they were GF. The short rib hash was a special, but I'd also recommend that much, although it would be naturally GF.

The food, service and ambiance were all top notch.

I am giving my review based on the staff and the cleanliness and atmosphere. We went out of our way to get to this restaurant and it was closing when we arrived. Not only did they seat us they tried their best to accommodate our request for the fried chicken. Unfortunately they were sold out of that dish because of its popularity. They still made every effort. Although we did not eat here we will be coming back.

Dedicated GF restaurant which operates under a 501(c)3 and was started by displaced restaurant workers from 9/11. The food is delicious! (Upscale gourmet). The bills shocked us a bit - but I think it was mainly because of dessert which was $12 each. The dessert was delicious - ESP. The lemon tart. But given that I paid more than $6?at Starbucks for a latte today - probably on par with the city. If I lived here, I would come back once a month, at least. They were very accommodating and sensitive to other food intolerances/allergies.

I ate here on my recent visit to New York. I have celiac disease so I must be gluten-free and had absolutely no problems. The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was very nice and clean. We started off with fresh baked bread that they make there and it was soft and tasty, the first good gluten-free bread I have had since diagnosed three years ago. My friend that went with me does not have to be gluten-free and she loved everything. It was so good we went back the next day for their Sunday brunch and we were not disappointed. Every thing we had was delicious. I wish I lived in New York I would go to this restaurant often.

A hidden gem. We found this place on GF and decided to give it a try. Everything on the menu is gluten free and delicious. The apetizers were perfectly prepared. We especially enjoyed the ribs. As our main course we enjoyed the fried chicken which is the best we have ever tasted. The atmosphere was great and the service impeccable. Every little detail was impressive, from the warm jalapeño bread to the the inventive deserts. O5ur entire family has been gluten free for years, and this is one of the best meals we have had.

This is a great restaurant with a great staff. The food is excellent. Ask for the calamares when you are at the bar. It comes with a siracha mayo that is awesome. Drinks are great and the ambiance is soooooo chill. I can't wait to come back and with friends! Great experience, great food and best this is that it's GLUTEN FREE!!! Everything (except some beers and obviously the whiskey and cognac).
