My wife and I had a lovely visit to Comida this past weekend.
I informed the waitress that I was Celiac and she knew all the protocols right away. She went into detail about how the chef really tries to make the majority of the menu gluten-free, that they have protocols around changing gloves, knives, etc. She also went into detail about how some dishes were gluten-free, but we make in a combined fryer, so they wouldn't be suitable for me.
I have 3 tacos, the jerk cauliflower, the skirt steak, and the brisket taco. All very very good!
There is also a good selection of drinks, I got a pineapple White Claw.
My new favorite taco spot in the Evanston area. I requested that all my tacos be made with corn tortillas and all the side dishes I ordered were naturally gluten free. Most items are gluten free. The only thing I would ask next time would be for them to label my tacos GF for take-out.
