Best food I've ever eaten. I had the jerk chicken which came with island rice and green beans. Seriously amazing. The salad was amazing too. (The one with the fruity dressing.)
Menu is clearly marked for GF options. I had the tomato based conch chowder for an appetizer, followed by blackened snapper with vegetables and mashed potatoes... delicious meal and educated wait staff. It located on the wharf with a fun atmosphere
The staff was knowledge.. I had the Conch Chowder, it was delicious.. Also had the peel and eat shrimp. Cocktail sauce was GFand tasty. Even had a staff member go check when our server was busy.. Didn't get sick.
Spoke with manager and chef prior to dining. They assured me my gf meal would b prepared with no cross contamination. It was and was delicious.
We found numerous well marked GF items on the menu. The Jerk Mahi Mahi was excellent. Conch Chowder is GF as well and was also great.
I had the Hogfish nightly special and it was delicious. My waiter knew I was Celiac so he said I needed to have the fish blackened, not with the original cream sauce. My plate came with the fish blackened and the sauce in a cup. Minutes later I told my waiter and he said it had gluten and removed it from my plate. I didn't get sick, but wished my ticket was marked gluten free so that the sauce would have never been out on my plate in the first place.
Great restaurant with awesome fresh seafood. All seafood is caught locally and sold to the restaurant right off the dock. It doesn't get any fresher than that.
Plenty on the menu to choose from. Taste was bland and ok Just not worth the price.

Attended a function where the company had a buffet laid out. With my gluten and dairy allergies they felt it best to make a plate just for me. She asked if I wanted chicken or shrimp and vegetables with a salad. I'm not sure why people believe gluten and dairy free is so hard to accommodate, but I received grilled chicken and steamed veggies that didn't even have salt or pepper. That was the most boring meal I've had in nearly two years. Made it worse to see everyone else eating some really yummy stuff from the buffet that could have very easily been free of my allergens, but no mention of it.
Service was bad. Conch chowder was no different than bland red chili. I got the chicken and it was not good :(

Delicious conch chowder. I also had the snapper with chimmichirri sauce, soooo good! I ordered from the bartender who seamed somewhat knowledgeable but said the chef is knowledgeable about gf cooking. The menu was well labeled and she made a note that I had a 'gluten allergy' after I made it clear I had celiac. Food was delicious, fresh and I felt great afterwards!
I had no idea they had a gluten free menu-- should have checked the app beforehand. I told my server about my allergy when I was modifying my order and she never even mentioned they had a separate menu! Would have been nice not to remove 4 ingredients from my order, but the drinks were good.
Conch chowder was delicious, hearty like chili with an amazing flavor and full of conch. The Plantain crusted Mahi Mahi was the best fish I've ever had. I had the Cayo Hueso Paella and it was full of of Shrimp, clams, mussels, fish, and chorizo. Excellent!
Gluten free Food was just ok. The conch soup was good and spicy but bland . The mahi mahi was very greasy and just ok. Slightly bland for my taste. Mashed potatoes were very good and veggies were good also. Service was just ok as well.
All gf items on the menu are clearly indicated. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and my meal was absolutely delicious! Two thumbs up!
We didn't really care for this restaurant, although we didn't get sick! My husband had the conch chowder which is a red chowder and more like a chili than a traditional chowder. I really didn't like the flavor at all. I had the plantain encrusted Mahi Mahi. The fish was lacking flavor and the rice and veggies (green beans, broccoli, cauliflower) were all cold and bland. I commend them for having a gf menu, but I was expecting a lot more flavor. They do not have a gf menu, but gf items are marked on the regular menu.

Extensive GF options, along with the frozen drinks. I enjoyed the conch chowda & jerk chicken w/rice and veggies. Not a frozen side veggie either. Great service, great food. Will be back, many times.
The menu has items that are naturally gluten free and are listed on the regular menu with a symbol. There are many choices! We started out with raw oysters and clams, and we ended up getting another dozen oysters because they were SO good. I usually can never order chowder but they had gluten free conch chowder! It wasn't creamy, it was more of a tomato base with a good spice, again it was so good!!! Since we ate a lot already, my bf and I split the days fresh catch. Today's catch was mahi and was prepared blackened with a sweet sauce on the side. It came with rice and veggies as well. My stomach is feeling great and I'm not looking for the closest bathroom. I highly recommend this restaurant, great food and an excellent location. If available it is nice to sit at the front of the restaurant closest to the boats, wonderful view, people watching and breeze.
Great bar atmosphere that I usually have to avoid due to availability of GF options. Had the key west mahi mahi and the conch chowder both were excelent!
Wow large variety of Gluten Free entrees. Nov. 2012 I was told a manager would follow my meal from start to finish to make sure it was not contaminated. I had the Key West Mahi that's plantain crusted with a honey glaze and avocado. It was amazing and gluten free! No bad side affects for me with this meal! I can't wait to go back! Updated 5/13 We went back 3 times and I never had a problem. I do react to very small amounts of gluten. It is nice they have such a large G.F. Menu as there are very few of them in Key West. I would hate for 1 persons very bad review from one experience to cause them to take away the G.F. Menu!!!
I trusted the reviews that I read, and went here with my husband. It was a huge mistake. Within an hour I was in the bathroom with massive diarrhea. I hate to be so honest but I know, as a celiac disease suffer, it is very important to know the truth. I would highly recommend you not going here. I think it is because the place is so big, there are so many people, that the server could care less about your needs and your allergies (or at least mine didn't). She was very pushy, very inpatient and not willing to listen to me when I told her I have celiac disease. It is also important to let your server know that you have celiac disease and that you are not just eating gluten-free because it is the new diet fad. I would try another place in Key West. I did call that tuna saloon and they had no idea what celiac disease was. I also called a pasta place in the area and the woman was so rude she claimed she knew what gluten was and when I questioned her on what gluten is she had absolutely no idea and pretty much seemed very embarrassed. And this was at the Pierhouse, the most expensive restaurant and resort in Key West. I was calling about the galley piano bar and she said that they only cater to their residents there that have a gluten allergy and when I continued to ask her what is gluten and what her knowledge is on it she acted completely oblivious.
Mostly the entire menu is gluten free with marks by all the gluten free items. Excellent seafood!
Definitely a large selection of GF entrees which are clearly marked on the printed menu (though not online). I had the Local Catch (grouper) with JuJu Slather. Our server was attentive and familiar with GF requests. My fish and boyfriend's chicken were good. Sides were OK. Restaurant is open, noisy, and looks out onto the marina. Good for large groups and good for watching the holiday boat parade. Margaritas were a little light on the tequila.
