This restaurant is located in ‘The One Palacio da Anunciada’. They have a ‘wine bar’ in the courtyard and the restaurant ‘Condes de Ericeira’. We stayed here for a week and visited the restaurant a few times, once for lunch and breakfast daily. Their menu was not labelled with gluten free items but they were more than happy to help/accommodate. I had a lovely Caprese Salad with arugula and pesto, yes a simple salad but really delicious. My husband (non-celiac)had the pork cheek tacos, which they quickly let me know were NOT gluten free (the filling was but not the shell).

For breakfast, they offered me a gluten free bread basket every morning (it had a couple buns, croissant and muffin) I found them to sweet for my liking, but they were still warm, tasty, and it was lovely to have this option. I typically had eggs, fruit and maybe cheese. They did remember me after the second day and took pretty good care of me. Side note, when my husband ordered the cheese plate it came with a couple small breadsticks and nuts on it, when I ordered it, I of course requested no breadsticks, but also requested no nuts, as I wasn’t sure if they would be safe or not. My ONE criticism for this restaurant some of the staff dont seem to have a full grasp of cross contamination, nor do they understand that things like nuts may not be safe for a celiac. I just kept this in mind while ordering.

All in all we really enjoyed our meals here and the staff were very attentive and friendly.
