Great fast casual spot in Disney Springs! I got the fish and chips and the employee marked gluten allergy on the order. It came out with an allergy toothpick. My only complaint was the fish portion is a little small but the fries definitely make up for it. Overall highly recommend!
We ordered the fish & chips and the chicken tenders & onion rings. It was such a treat. They were cooked separately and we did not have a reaction.
Amazing restaurant for gluten free individuals! They had gluten free onion rings which is so hard to find. They have a separate fryer and cooking space for anyone with an allergy. They have a strict change glove protocol and have a separate space for gluten free items once they have been prepared and are waiting to be served. They had so many options for both lunch or dinner and dessert.
I was so excited to see on this app that they had GF fish and chips! My party and I were actually watching a game in the bar at Planet Hollywood, which did not have gluten-free options and I just did not feel safe eating a salad there. So I left on my own to go track down Cooke’s to have a bite to eat. I got fish and chips to go and sat outside to eat. It was phenomenal, even out of a bag which wasn’t the neatest way to eat this. I can’t tell you the last time I had fish and chips. Originally I was a silent Celiac, but I now react to gluten (š¤®) after not having it for over three years. So I definitely like to do my research and read reviews on others’ experiences. I felt totally fine afterwards with no symptoms.
Looking for a fried food fix? Chicken fingers, fish and chips, onion rings, burgers with GF bun. Really good. Dedicated fryer but also filter all oil nightly in same filter?! They also had two delicious, gluten-free desserts, including an upside down pineapple cake. We did fine with the food. Convenient nearby (free) parking garage.
I had heard they had their GF options here like at the full service restaurant, and was excited to see them advertised on the sign. My fish and chips were amazing!!! I was crying eating them, they were so perfect. No noticeable glutening. They had some GF desserts in a shared case as well so I didn’t try those.
Had a wonderful experience here tonight with my kids. They had the chicken and chips and I had the fish and chips. We also had onion rings. Everything was hot and fresh. The cashier, Diedre, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back next time we are in Disney! No sickness after eating.
Absolutely delicious! We enjoyed the onion rings, chicken tenders and fries. Battered rather than breaded. Would come back.
If you're like me, when you see the Disney cast member looking name tag, you relax thinking that Disney does an amazing job with gluten free and other food allergies. No matter what the name tag looks like Raglan Road (Cooke's of Dublin is the quick service operation of Raglan Road and shares the same kitchen) is not owned or run by Disney. They are owned and operated by owned and operated by Great Irish Pubs Florida, Inc., the Irish-owned company that previously created Nine Fine Irishmen at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Now let's talked about share filters... Cooke's of Dublin has "gluten free" fish and chips. I've eaten at both locations. The last time I ate at Raglan Road the server made it very clear that the fryer shares a filtering system with gluten containing fryers. That concerned me and got me digging into how this works. For an installed type of filtration system there is a filter box that all connected fryers use. One fryer filters itself and then the system moves to the next fryer and so on. There is a certain amount of oil and filtered matter that remains in the tray, so the oil is continually co-mingled. It's possible that the filter is so fine that it filters out gluten. But, who knows if this is really the case. I asked the management if they test for gluten and was told "No we have not tested and we do not plan to. As stated below we cannot be 100% guaranteed that we are gluten free, and we do not claim to be gluten free restaurant" This may explain the variety of experiences detailed in reviews here. At another point I was told "All I can do it make you aware of the risk and hopefully you can decide if we are the right choice for you." I understand there's always a risk eating at an establishment that serves gluten containing items. There's a difference between "there's a risk" and systems being setup to potentially cross contaminate food, automatically on a schedule. If you're happy with gluten reduced fish and chips or maybe gluten free-ish fish and chips, this may be the place for you. Unfortunately, I don't believe this is a celiac safe restaurant. The fish and chips are cooked in oil that is regularly co-mingled with gluten containing items. Without testing who knows what the end result is and, from reviews, people are getting sick.
This place never disappoints. The fish and chips, chicken fingers, and onion rings can all be gluten free and are all amazing!
One of the best fresh fish and chips! Gluten free was no problem at all. 100% recommend.
Got take out from here last night for my family including 2 coeliacs. Guys at the counter were very nice and helpful. They explained that the chips are cooked in a separate fryer and they can do GF batter also cooked separately, so we have battered fish, chips, onion rings (these were great and so rare to find GF). They even do a nice GF curry sauce which they thicken with mash potato. Expensive, as every food outlet here, but saves the day when you have fussy coeliac teenagers!
So impressed!! The person at the counter was very knowledgeable. The GF food is cooked in a dedicated kitchen area and dedicated fryer. I ordered the fish and chips with onion rings and they were the bomb…best GF onion rings I have ever had. I would definitely go here again !
Love their gluten-free fried fish, fries and onion rings. The fish looked much better than my husband’s regular fried fish. I think it was crispier, too. They have a dedicated fryer. The kid’s meal is plenty big for an adult lunch. Can’t wait to go back! This has walk up service. There are a few tables inside, and some outside.
**update** after stomach cramps for 6 hours and multiple trips to the bathroom the onion rings all came back up and for sure they were CC or fully glutened! ***
Ordered the Gluten free onion rings for $6 and change. They made them in a dedicated fryer and changed gloves . Order came with 6 huge onion rings and gf tarter sauce and ketchup!
Got the fish and chips with tartar sauce! Loved the meal have never gotten sick
I am not celiac‘s but I am gluten intolerant. And I have a serious dairy allergy. Can I just let you know that I’m sitting here eating this food feeling borderline emotional at how amazing it is! First of all my boy at the counter got a $20 tip for walking me through with a trapper keeper full of each item and its ingredients. Then he double and triple checked on every item to make sure I could have it. I’m sitting here eating gluten-free and dairy free fish and chips with a side of onion rings some tomato chutney some chipotle aïoli and tartar sauce with a hard cider from the place right outside the building where you get your drinks. I hope you come here I feel like I’ll just sit here for the rest of my life lol.
