This is my go-to restaurant for gluten-free dining. The food is delicious, and I know I can eat there safely, without the threat of cross-contamination or getting sick.

The dedicated gluten-free menu has a lot of options, including appetizers and desserts.

I do not care for their gluten-free pasta. It comes watered-down and lacks flavor. The last time I ordered a gf pasta dish, I had to send it back.

I wish Cooper's Hawk would use different hamburger buns. The ones they have now crumble, and sometimes they taste freezer-burned. It is impossible to eat a hamburger without using a knife and fork. I also wish they'd find a way to get a dedicated fryer for french fries.

Right now, if I want a burger, I go to Red Robin.Otherwise, it's Cooper's Hawk for me.

Their white chocolate truffles and dark chocolate truffles are gluten free, which is nice, but they do not taste nearly as good as they once did. They must have changed the recipe.

Wait staff is usually good. Find someone you like, get their schedule and then ask for that server when you come in. Otherwise, the service can be sketchy -- never bad, it's just that some servers are better than others.

For example, on one of my birthdays, they brought the usual white chocolate truffle and chocolate dipped strawberry, gratis, with a candle. That's their usual thing to do.

However, since I no longer care for the chocolate there, I would have liked to have ordered an additional dessert from the menu. My husband would have ordered something, too, along with enjoying the truffle. I also would have liked coffee. The server just plopped the plate down and walked away without asking if there might be something else we'd like, or if my husband would like to order dessert. Not only were we ill-served, the server lost money for Cooper's Hawk.

So, I gave my dessert to hubby and skipped my birthday celebration.

Cooper's Hawk: I love ya, but you still have a way to go to earn 5-stars.
