They don’t have a dedicated menu but the server was knowledgeable. The side that came with my sandwich was made in a shared fryer so I was able to switch. Hubby had bbq nachos. I ate a bite and am fine. There was plenty of food. I wanted to try the gf key lime pie but was full enough. Next time!

Cooties is a great place to eat for our celiac family. Here's how to make it work... Be clear with the waiter that you have celiac in a friendly way ( not being a jerk). Then ask questions about toppings or dressings or whatever. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. We've eaten here a dozen times over the last three years and there was only an issue one time and that was bc of the Maytag Bleu cheese. Food is consistent and very tasty.

I have had the gluten free pizza multiple times and it has never given me a reaction. It is one of the best gluten free pizzas in town. It is all I know of on the menu that I feel would be safe to eat, though.

While the pizza was good, and it's great to have a pie option, I had an uncommonly extreme gluten reaction after eating here, making me wonder if I was accidentally given a pizza or pie that was regular wheat.

The one in Johnson City is very unsafe as they have shared utensils for the GF /non GF pizza sauces . They’re chips and nachos are put into a shared fryer essentially making them non GF. Our server was not knowledgeable about GF options or cross contamination. Hopefully another city has a better one.

Have eaten here many times. I especially like the tamales and the GF pizza options. They place a special marker on the GF pizza which adds another level of assurance that the GF order has been correctly communicated to the kitchen.

Celiac friendly!! Their gluten free bread sub rolls are to die for. I've actually bought them in bulk just to eat at home. I have never gotten sick and my favorite meals are the ribeye sub sandwich. And the Caribbean jerk chicken with extra sauce!!!!!

Few gluten free options. Shared fryer so French fries not GF. Asked for baked beans since I couldn't have fries. Charged 3.50 extra for the beans even though they were a substitute for fries. They do not tell you the upcharge. I do not mind paying but it would be a nice courtesy if they would tell you it is extra. Chips not GF. Just very few options. Philly cheesesteak was good but customer service not so much.

Are they capable to do it very much so. Is the food good yes. Are they celiac friendly I'd have to say "maybe". If you are just sensitive then you will be ok but if it's about your long term health I wouldn't chance it. They are not certified likewise their suppliers aren't so eat at your own risk.

Stopped by when I was in the area for work after reading the good reviews. It did not disappoint. My server was extremely knowledgable and friendly. I had the Northern California Pizza and the g-free crust was great. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

The food was AWESOME. The server was very knowledgeable and was able to explain how the kitchen handles gluten free orders. Just about everything on their menu can be ordered gluten free. There is however an extra charge $1 for gf hamburger buns. This isn't very shocking since gf hamburger buns run $5 for 4 in the grocery store. I will definitely be back. This place will likely turn into a regular stop for my gf family.

Very good gluten free sandwich! You can get a GF sub here. I was not charged extra for gluten free handling so I'm not sure what those reviews are referring to, but perhaps they don't do it anymore. I wish they had a printed gluten free menu. The server was knowledgable, but I like being able to see all my choices without having to inquire about specific items individually.

I am in Johnson City for work and found this spot through this app. They were very friendly and knowledgable about their GF options, and the variety was wide. I had a turkey burger on gf flatbread that was delicious, and a Brie and pesto dip, served with the gf flatbread as well. The non-celiacs in my group also enjoyed the gf appetizer.

I definitely recommend this spot.

Pizza is ok...staff and customer service leave a lot to be desired. If you need any thing changed from their menu to accommodate your specific allergies, be prepared to pay extra, because their policy 'is to make this easy on their kitchen staff'. So much for customer service and helping the customer.

The pizza they create and serve at Cootie Brown's is absolutely the VERY best GF pizza I've ever had!! (my short list includes Mellow Mushroom, Dominoe's, Beau Jeau's, Z'pizza and even Udi's Delivery in Arvada) Their crust is a rice/tapioca combo, but they must do something special in the kitchen that they didn't mention, because it was absolutely delicious! I had the meat lovers pizza and could only eat half of it - it's also the largest GF pizza I've ever had! It was the cheapest for the size GF pie I've ever had as well .... You'll be impressed. I only WISH they'd franchise their restaurant so I could be closer to one!!
