Great experience. Super tasty food! Nice staff. Very clean. My two knocks 1) as a celiac I always want the staff over prepared, even though this establishment is 100 percent gluten free, I am always in communication with where I’m eating out. I was preemptive and gave the hostess my equal eats card to be safe because I have other food allergies (no dairy, no soy). I was extremely disappointed that my server never once mentioned the card or my celiacs once. Never once saying who is it at the table, never once addressed. This was not encouraging, so if you are gluten free because you choose, you are fine; as far as feeling safe being celiac, hard no. 2) our tacos were super delicious, however with that many choices, there should be a flight of tacos or opportunity to mix and match them to try the yummy flavors. Other wise it is a good place to eat.

Copita is such a gift! They have fantastic service, nice ambiance, delicious and SAFE food! It’s a bit on the pricier side for what it is, but it’s worth it to have a “normal” night or lunch out.

Everything was delicious! Definitely get the Brussels sprouts & guacamole! The blood orange margarita was fantastic and all of our food was cooked perfectly and really flavorful. The churros were such a treat! Ask for a side of the caramel sauce to dip them in. Yum!!

We have eaten at the Copita in Sausalito. We were thrilled to hear they had opened up a location in Willow Glen! We frequent visit the South Bay and struggle with finding places we trust for my celiac daughter. We loved the fun, authentic atmosphere and the service was great! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the mini donuts and chocolate shake after she devoured the kids steak tacos.

$$$ meal but so worth the peace of mind in my opinion. Wish their were more dedicated restaurant options similar to this one! We will be back!

I had really high hopes for this place, as I’ve been craving good GF Mexican food for awhile.

Pros: atmosphere is nice and airy, and bright and cheery.

Great chips and salsa, definitely ate more than I should have.

The churros were delish.

Cons: ordered the chicken tinga tacos and the shrimp enchiladas. Both were very bland. The chicken was obviously just blanched or boiled, plain shredded chicken with a lackluster enchilada-type sauce. Honestly, I’ve had jarred sauces at home with more flavor. The tacos are very small, and not worthy of the $. As for the enchiladas, the shrimp was just pan sautéed (not grilled), and the sauce was just spicy… somehow with very little discernible flavor.

In speaking to our server, they acknowledged there are dishes on the menu that are a little more ‘simple’ in flavor, and others that pack a flavor punch (as I would expect from good Oaxacan cuisine). We’ll try again, and see if we yield better results from different menu choices.

Great not to have to worry about cross-contact. Food is really good. You’d think there’d be way more dedicated GF restaurants, or ones that know what cross-contact is, in the Bay Area, but no, gluten isn’t considered an allergen in the wealthiest most powerful country in the world. So any dedicated GF restaurant in this area is very much appreciated.

Excellent Mexican food! From the guacamole to the mole enchiladas, this place is superb! And what a treat to eat worry free. And don’t skip the gluten free churros and buñuelos for dessert!

This place was wild lol. Drinks were great but the food ranged from super tasty to bland to disgusting.

Pros: - tuna tostadas with fried leeks were great - margaritas - mocktails - chicken wings were alright! - service was fab

Cons: - tortilla soup and papas bravas were pretty bland - the corn crème brûlée is one of the grossest desserts I’ve ever had lol

I had carne asada tacos and tried the calamari taco as well as the salsa and chips and empanadas also was finally able to try gf churros they did not disappoint. It’s nice place and great service. We’ve been to the saulsalito location before which is also just as great, but will definitely be frequenting this location. Highly recommend especially if you have celiac since there’s no Risk of cross contamination.

The most amazing restaurant for a person with Celiac! 100% gluten free menu. Plus there are great desserts! I had the churros for dessert and they were perfect. I can’t wait to go back again. My partner and son who are both not gluten free loved the food, they told me there was no difference in taste.

I love that this restaurant's food is 100% GF but the food was a little bland. I asked for chipotle aioli since I saw that on other menu items and that helped make my tacos more flavorful. The dessert was the best part; I haven't had churros in years and they were delicious!

Absolutely delicious. Strong recommend for a genuine restaurant, not just bowls or fast food. Refined, delicate flavors. 100% gf. Great location. Our server reported that they use Cup4Cup gf flour for baked goods. We had empanadas, ceviche, tacos, tetele, crème brûlée, churros, and buñuelos (which were even better than the churros). Will look for an opportunity to go again!

Great place to find food you wouldn’t be able to have anywhere else, like quesabirria and churros! 100% gluten free although they do have beers with gluten. Good food although I agree with another review that it’s somewhat bland as far as Mexican food goes. I used the chili oil for extra oomph and it was delicious!

We had so much delicious food. The Aguachile, corn smut and truffle empanadas. Carnitas and Lamb Birria. And the churros for desert… all delicious.

Excellent food but definitely pricey. For tacos plan to get at least four unless you have a very small appetite. The patio has tons of outdoor seating. The second level seems to have a limited menu so make sure to request seats on the first floor if you want all the options. Lots of free parking and a few free ev charging stations. The wait for a table this weekend (which was the opening weekend) was over an hour.
