While I've heard about this place from my doctor for a couple of years now, he claims it was better under the old management. Well, I finally tried it under the NEW management and LOVED it! While I feel they have a right to be pretentious ;) (because their stuff is awesome) I did not get that vibe at all. We had dinner on a Saturday evening. If you've ever been to Pappasito's Mexican Restaurant and, like me, absolutely hate that four people and all their food have to sit on what feels like a 2'x2' table, well it was the opposite here. There was plenty of room on their spacious tables for appetizers, wine and water glasses, center pieces, salt, pepper, entrees and it did not feel crowded. Extremely creative gluten-free meals and options. We got the gf flat bread as a dipper for appetizers. They just kept it coming. The beet hummus which we got on the hummus sampler as suggested by our server (instead of just plain hummus) was SOOOOO awesome! Our server was extremely attentive and knowledgeable and constantly offering suggestions or alternatives as he answered our questions. The chef even came out to chat with us. They have an actual sommelier on staff so my wine-lovin' father in law was in hog heaven. Husband was happy with wine choices as it seems that all restaurants carry the same wines. Not the case here. She was also far from pretentious. Yes, it was not cheap food but it has moved to my top 5 gluten friendly places to eat! I recommend trying it. Can't imagine it being even better before! It's great now!
