The wait staff was SO knowledgeable, and asked me if I had celiac when I mentioned gluten allergy. He took extra precaution to explain the processes to me and make sure the cooks knew. 10/10 experience and food was SO good!

So I’m sure if you can eat here safely it’s probably good, but if you have celiac I would stay far away. The wait staff have no idea what they’re talking about, often contradicting each other (and once telling me if I’m gluten free I should try the seitan - pure gluten) and the kitchen staff seem pretty careless with the orders as well. I would steer clear

BEWARE: no dedicated fryers so none of their chips are gluten free. Bummer. Told manager and wait staff that I was celiac and very sensitive. They told me they could meet my allergy needs with corn tortillas, substitutes, etc. Ate only half of my taco and was very sick half an hour later. Would NOT recommend.

One of my favorites - great for family meals, date nights, girls’ night, etc. So many safe options for our allergies. And the food is delicious!

Symptomatic Celiac

The food was really good but after alerting 2 different servers that I have a gluten allergy (celiac disease), and asking that they please write it down and ensure everything is kept separate, I found a noodle in my rice bowl. The only reason I’m giving it two stars instead of one is because they were very apologetic and immediately removed the dish from the bill. But nonetheless, if you have celiac, I would advise against this place. Safe to say I will not be coming back.

Eaten here several (at least 9) times- some at the old and new location. Only once did I get some cross contamination hives, but the other times I've been fine. My servers have either seemed to know the information, or are totally willing to check with the kitchen.

Edit - a year later and same exact problem. Staff says most tacos are gluten free if on corn tortilla. In fact most still have gluten.

Food tasted good but nothing is marked on the menu. Staff was not knowledgeable about which items contained gluten. When we asked what would be gluten free, our server recommended seitan and falafel neither of which were actually gluten free. Seitan is literally just wheat protein for goodness sake. We were told by two different people "we have lots of options and only like two of our sauces have gluten" but looking at their allergen list, many more than two sauces had gluten and most of the tacos had at least one item that was not safe. Perhaps more concerning than the front of the houses lack of knowledge, The allergen list itself seemed incorrect. It had chorizo listed as not gluten free because it contains msg. Msg is not a gluten ingredient. This made me worry about the kitchen staff's knowledge about what gluten actually is. Aside from that, cross referencing an allergen chart against a menu for every individual ingredient -especially considering the menu might not list every ingredient - is a really difficult way to figure out what's safe.

This place was a wonderful find while driving through Greensboro. The food was excellent! The server was very knowledgeable about food allergies and immediately said they take them very seriously and will wipe everything down to ensure a safe prep area. Down side was that the chips weren't fried in a dedicated fryer but the rest of the food was so good it doesn't matter. I wish we could have brought the restaurant home to PA with us.

Holy wow this place is wonderful! Amazing tacos and great margaritas. Everyone working was so accommodating and happy to help explain menu options. Avoided the chips, no separate fryer.

I cannot state enough how grateful I was to find this "joint"! I have a very severe sensitivity with my celiacs and I am always terrified when traveling. I found Crafted thanks to this site and I am so happy I did. I am also vegan so I was happy to see the began menu. The meal was outstanding and the service was hard to beat. It was so impressive (and I was so thrilled to find a chill and safe restaurant) that we came back the next night! Chef Kristina and her staff were kind and consider which goes a long way for someone who still feels bad for asking for special prep. Thank you to this site for the rec and thank you to Crafted for making a business weekend so enjoyable. :)

Crafted offers delicious Gf and vegan tacos, along with Gf beer and cider. Beware that although they have corn tortilla chips available, they are fried in a shared fryer. They are careful to mark your ticket as Celiac and will accommodate your requests to change gloves, etc.
