The wait staff was very celiac knowledgeable, but my celiac boyfriend got extremely ill. I’m thinking they used non gf soy sauce in the edamame - even though we asked several times.
NO gluten-free menu. The server suggested I get a salad.
I have had the gluten free pasta a few times and been fine. However the last time I had it I got very sick.
Went for a private party buffet. Was told the California rolls were gluten free. Nope! The server suggested a burger with no bun and must have expected me to remove the bun myself. I had to special order it and explain that my daughter can't eat it if it touched gluten. I give one star only because the waitress did ask about ingredients and safe options and had a burger prepared sans bun. My daughter got sick after eating "gluten free" options.
Fantastic! Staff is patient and sensitive to food allergies. Food is fantastic! Can get gluten free sushi, soy sauce, beer, burgers, salads (that are more than just ice berg lettuce). Our new favorite place to eat when celebrating:)
Went for their Easter brunch. Chef came out and walked me through the buffet. If a gf item was in a bin with a nongf item I didn't eat it. Still plenty of options. Overall very nice experience.
Food was very tasty and I didn't get sick. However, the chef saved me from ordering an item on the gluten free menu that actually had some flour in it. Don't order the creamy chicken and mushroom entire, the sauce has wheat flour in it. They should take that off the gluten free menu.
First time eating here and thankful to have a knowledgeable server. I ordered the bunless turkey burger and fries off of the 'gluten sensitive' menu...only to learn that they do not have a dedicated fryer and there is panko breading in the turkey burger. Disappointing to say the least.
Called before going ,explained that my wife and son both have celiac, I was told that they have an extensive gluten free menu.NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL THIS SERVICE IS AWFUL AND THE FOOD IS GLUTEN FREE WHEN THEY REMOVE EVERY SPICE AND SIDE DISH. TRULY THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD.
Absolutely not celiac friendly. There is a GF menu but none of the staff was educated in it (not even the manager). The server was unfamiliar with the menu, the manager was rude and also uneducated to GF needs, and the kitchen prepared everything with gluten. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. So disappointed.
Great experience and always gluten free. I was able to eat here and not get ill. It has been great over and over again. They have a Thanksgiving Meal (at St. Louis Park locations) free for those who are low income. I am happy to pay more for a meal that is safe and to a restaurant that supports low income families.
Menu is marked with items that can be made gluten free, but you have to tell them you want it prepared that way (they modify the original dish)! Multiple good options, but as always, be aware - I did have one server bring me pita bread with an appetizer even after asking for gluten free but she was great about taking it back and even getting a new serving plate. All the other times I have eaten here with no issues.
Totally server dependent. Our most recent server disappeared for 15 minutes after I asked about any gluten-free sushi options and came back later asking what we wanted and when I asked about gluten-free sushi he clearly bluffed his way through, just recommending against poké sauces and not even considering tempura rolls. Order from GF menu with care. Also, variable w/requests for no dairy.
The gluten free options are listed on the regular menu. Just let the server know you like it prepared GF. I ordered the ribeye and it was incredible. I am very sensitive and had no issues afterward. I was with a group of 22 and everyone was very happy with the food and service.
