I came with my family for lunch and explained to the server that I have Celiac disease. She said wasn’t very helpful and basically told me that they couldn’t guarantee anything I ordered would be safe since there was gluten in the kitchen and they couldn’t take any extra precautions to avoid cross contamination other than making a comment on the ticket for the kitchen to see. I didn’t feel comfortable and ended up watching everyone else eat lunch while I drank my water. Will not be back.

Waitress was knowledgeable about Celiac Disease/Gluten Free. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits as they had it marked GF. I did not get sick.

Server was knowledgeable about allergies and made sure to put notes in system. I had the king crab leg boil with corn & potatoes. It was ok, but I felt safe eating here so that was important. We were referred by a boutique owner to try The Quarterdeck but we didn’t see many GF options available online. But will try the Quarterdeck or Hudson’s if we return to the area.

Ate here with family because our reservation at quarterdeck was overbooked. Gluten free online vs on the current menu was different and much more limiting. Decided on shrimp and grits. Did not enjoy, was sick upon returning home. Shrimp was not deveined and grits was gritty and had corn pieces in it. I hate to leave a negative review but NO THANKS to a repeat of that meal!

Menu had GF noted. Ordered the grouper with vegetables and potatoes. The grouper was good, but could of used more seasoning. Potatoes were cold.

A few items marked GF on the menu. Some items such as Mahi & Swordfish GF, but grouper (just described as blackened/grilled/steamed no side or preparation noted) was not marked GF. We had 1 GF & 1 GF/DF in our party of 4. We ordered from items marked GF. 4 meals came out, some wrong, didn’t know which plate was whose. Our server made him take it back to the kitchen and said we have allergies and they need to figure it out. All the fish was SUPER over cooked, super dry and terrible. Our bill for 3 dry, bad mahi meals and one appetizer eaten as a meal was $180 with a 20% tip. The standard side of barely-steamed, raw green beans, carrots and broccoli trio had zero seasoning (including the plate with zero allergies). It was all bad. Can’t recommend.

Great location right on the marsh! GF marked clearly on the menu! Our service was terrible though... Our appetizers came out after our dinners..like way after.. Our waiter apologized and brought us extra hush puppies and soup (for my non-gf family) and didn't charge us.. Crabs were fresh though.
GF items are labeled (mostly steamed seafood); options are limited but crab dip was really good!
After a conversation with my waitress ab celiac disease, they made a gf grilled cheese for my son but served it on a plate of French fries vs the baked potato I requested:(
Yes
Great gluten free options. GF notes on all items that were safe on menu. Fresh seafood that was delicious. Especially loved shrimp boil and snow crab legs!!

It gets NO stars as far as I am concerned! Question my waiter several times about the hollandaise saucepan the oysters Rockefeller had on it only to be told it was for sure gluten free. After a few bites of that I was NOT feeling well. By the time I got home I was terribly sick. It's going to take days to feel better now that I have been gluten ! Got everything else to go . When I got home I called and asked to speak to the manger, Dave. He didn't seem to care I was sick and said he went back to the kitchen to check himself . Would NOT recommend you eat there if you have any type of gluten allergy or celiac disease!! Not safe & they DONT care!

The waitress had no idea what I was talking about when I told her I had a gluten allergy. I should have known better from the menu with entire entire thing filled with fried foods. I didn’t feel comfortable eating anything there due to possible cross contamination in the kitchen and lack of knowledge from our waitress. I ended up ordering the crab legs and corn on the cob. Well the corn on the cob was completely watered down; I think I had 2 bites. The crab legs were lack luster and didn’t fit the name of the restaurant. They left little to be desired and I was not impressed. This place is in the Harbor area and it is one of the touristy places on the island. I couldn’t recommend this place for gluten free folks. and for that matter, I wouldn't even recommend it for people without food allergies.
