Cris's Place

I've seen great reviews for this place, we tried one night but was full so booked for the next night and came back. I had the duck which was delicious. All serving staff were knowledgeable and made sure I knew what I was safe to eat. Highly recommend.

My family and I had a delicious meal here while on holiday. The staff were reassuring about the safety of the food and spoke with the chef who suggested an alternative to how my potatoes were going to be cooked. There is no gluten free menu but the food order appears to be taken by a knowledgeable waiter with good command of English.

Highly recommend this restaurant, wide selection of dishes available for coeliacs. Staff were very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable about gluten free dishes suitable for my daughter who is coeliac. She had sea bass which was delicious as were the duck & fillet steak. Welcoming drink when we arrived & complementary Madeira wine at the end. A must try in Madeira!

Gluten free bread available. Staff were well informed on which dishes contained gluten and were able to adjust any dish to make it gluten free. Food was amazing! Waiters were very friendly. Definitely go to Cris’s Place if you’re in the area. ☺
