As a celiac who was a little overwhelmed by the abundance of restaurants yet lack of gluten free food, once I found this gluten free sandwich spot I ate here everyday for lunch as my safe go-to. It’s nothing magnificent, just simple and tasty, and SAFE. I didn’t try the pastries or coffee but that was available as well. Only four tables so be prepared to wait (not too long) to sit.
Stopped in for dessert on the recommendation of app. Little off the beaten path. Wouldn’t have found it by accident. Got a pistachio cake that was simply marvelous. My gluten eating partner loved it as well. The entire place is gluten free so I believe anything from there would be safe.
Totally glutenfree. The food is rather simple. More of a Sandwich kind of Spot.but still tasty.
A real dissapointment, the food was terrible. I ordered the croquet monsieur (of course), had to wait more than 45min for it and it was definitely straight from a factory. The erg on top was not cooked properly (I really like a soft yellow, but even the white was undercooked). Served with something they would call salad, but it was just lettuce from a bag with no adder flavour whatsoever. Since it is in Amsterdam I expected the price to be outrageous, I can overcome that fact, but not when I get a horrible experience in return. Even the utensils were super cheap. Despite the fact I could eat everything here safely, I'm never ging back.
Food is horrible.
Despite being a fully gluten free establishment, the ‘Caprese’ sandwich which doesn’t contain olives on the menu had olives in it. Dangerous for someone who may be allergic!
Everything tasted store bought. Bread was microwaved to melt the cheese. Save your time and money.
I tried this place after a disappointing week at a conference in Amsterdam - food wise
It was an oasis in a dessert of gluten. Loved the fact it was all gluten free on the menu, when i was there it was lunch time and I was the only customer - they had just opened and cooked the food fresh. It was excellent.
Unfortunately, I was completely unimpressed with Croque Madame. €26 for one toastie, two soft drinks and a piece of cake. Totally over priced. The €12 toastie only comes with a bit of salad, which is disappointing, especially for the price (I had a great GF pizza the day before, elsewhere, for only €13!!). Not worth visiting in my option.
Dedicated gluten free facility which was great. We had to wait 10 minutes for a table which was fine and the staff were nice. We ordered the nachos and then got a burger and a sandwich. The nachos came after about 15 minutes, however we had to wait about 45 minutes for the burger which was a bit annoying. Another thing was the burger cost 16 euro and didn't come with a side salad or even chips. However it was great, would recommend.
