Ate here a few days ago and it is one of the best experiences I’ve had! I had been really craving a burger recently and had been sad I couldn’t find a good one. When I stumbled upon this place I knew I had to try it! They are very knowledgeable about celiac disease and it made me feel comfortable eating there knowing there was precaution in place for someone like me!! They even had homemade gluten free chocolate chip cookies 🤤🤤 Overall 20/10 experience and I will definitely be going back!!

Owner is very aware of celiac and I was well taken care of. Burger cooked on foil on the grill separately from other items, dedicated fryer for fries. Felt safe eating here and no reaction afterwards. Owner is a cool dude and this small shop is worth a stop.

Stopped here on vacation and it was excellent! Ate a cheeseburger with GF bread and hand cut French fries. So good. Separate frier for the fries which I don't get very often. The service was fantastic! I highly recommend!

Excellent! Owner is gluten free himself and knows all about gf/celiac. Very safe, great food, gf buns, bread and wraps, dedicated gf fryer, cookies, indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly on patio! They even have plain hamburger Patty for your dog.

So friendly and accommodating! The place is modest but the cook is conscientious and the staff are so nice. The vibe is very hippy laid back, all welcome. Owned by the guy who owned the old Smoke Shack in Buena Vista years ago. The menu is so simple (humble burger joint), it’s easy to ask about dietary needs; nothing is marked. Fryer only does gf French fries! Gf cookies are delicious!

I have had to be gf/df for almost 15 yrs now. I Love this app for finding little jems such as "cross roads" while traveling .We were the first customers of the day. Eric is very down to earth and passionate about his business and he has a good sarcastic sense of humor. He provides a nice selection and my burger,fries,and blueberry muffin were all excellent. He has the berries shipped in from Maine . I Haven't tried his cookies yet but my spouse who is always skeptical about gf restaurants/ food , couldn't tell it was gf so they must be yummy. I really wish this wasn't 4 hrs from home but I will eat there again should the opportunity present itself. Enjoy! Deb

I take the gluten free thing very seriously and would never re-use a burger without asking first. If one of my employees did not follow protocol, i apologize. Great food! The owner was very knowledgeable and made the GF food himself. They have a dedicated fryer for fries and use foil when cooking on the flat top to prevent cross-contamination. I highly recommend this Crossroads Cafe.

My fiancée has celiac and the owner said: I’m gluten free also and told us all about the gluten free menu. She ordered a plain burger well done with a lettuce wrap, veggies, and gluten free fries. Her burger came out on a bun with full dressing with fries. The owner came over and we asked again for no bun and lettuce wrap with the burger well done. He apologized and took it all back in. He came back out within 2 mins and gave her the burger in a lettuce wrap. I asked if it was the same burger just in a lettuce wrap and said yes. We reminded him she has celiac and he apologized AGAIN and took it away. The final time he brought out a burger in a lettuce wrap with NO fries. We are in Salida for one night and she is spending it in bed having being Glutened. Just be careful.

Dedicated fryer for fries. Very tasty burgers and sides. Their GF buns did have cross contamination but they worked hard to make sure our food was celiac safe. They even had "doggie burgers" that were cooked rare for our pooch.
