I would never normally eat anything from a regular bakery, but I saw a lot of people recommending this place on the Coeliac and Gluten Free York Facebook group, so I felt safe. They had five kinds of GF cupcakes, which they kept on the top shelf of their glass display. I didn't ask many questions, but did say I have Celiac. I had a lemon cupcake, which was incredibly good, and no trouble afterward despite being very symptomatic.
