Ordered a GF pepperoni pizza, it wasnt the most delicious, a bit on the dry and crumbly side but it was overall fine. I needed food and I ate it, no issues afterwards. Not sure if I would go out of my way to eat here again as there's better tasting ones in the area, IMO. But I was in a bind and just needed something quick. Also if if you need to use the bathroom you must ask them for a bathroom key and walk quite a bit down the hall (that key has been touched and brought into the bathroom 2000x times, gross).
Well - it is hard for me to provide a good rating because my GF pizza was not delivered with the order. My family picked this place because of my dietary restrictions as a Celiac.
We called the restaurant to find out where the pizza was and they responded with we ran out of GF crust. It was not a problem that they ran out. The problem is they did not call us so I could make another selection for dinner. I ended having to eat a protein bar for dinner.
VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Staff is very knowledgeable about cross contamination. They cook the GF pizza in a separate area, use separate utensils, and cook the pizza on separate GF trays. I had the Tuscan Chicken pizza made GF and it was fantastic. The crust is thick and seems to be homemade. Very filling and I had no reaction!
My favorite pizza place! I always get the gf pizza with vegan cheese due to my allergies and never had a problem!!
Love coming here when I’m out in Asbury. I always get gluten free pizza with vegan cheese, sometimes half pepperoni. Staff is very knowledgeable about celiacs, cross contamination, etc. so I would highly recommend! Just wish they had more dairy free options in regards to their cookies- but plenty of gf options!
We got dinner here and wow!! It was so good. The gluten free pizza can only be made in the 10” personal size but it ended up being plenty. The crust was a little odd looking but the texture was perfect and didn’t crumble everywhere!! The staff were very knowledgeable about the gluten free diet and when I asked if the eggplant was gluten free the said no, and then listed the rest of the non gluten free pizza toppings so I’d know. Great transparency!! I will definitely order pizza again next time I’m in town!
When we walked inside to order we specified that there was a sever gluten allergy and that we wanted to know which items on the menu were GF. There is a menu of just GF items so we ordered a custom large pie. The pie was delicious and tasted just like regular pizza, and that was because it was regular pizza. The guy who took our order neglected to mention that large pies are not GF, even though we had discussed celiac disease with him 20 minutes earlier and asked for the GF menu.
Excellent experience! We were pleasantly surprised that this pizzeria makes their own GF dough. It had a nice char on the bottom of the pie, which most places are afraid to do (since they use that premade GF crust that comes with the red & white wheel cutter & are afraid of burning it). I’ve had a pallid pizza in most other places I’ve ever been to. The crust is chunky and well-cooked, and choice of toppings is excellent. This will be a regular stop for us!
Excellent gluten free pizza. Absolutely one of the best I've had. Handmade not a premade frozen crust. If your in the area well worth the stop for a personal sized pizza.
So I’m not sure about this place. I noticed the same gentleman making the pizzas with gluten was also touching the gluten free pizzas with his bare hands without gloves or cleaning off the surface prior to. I asked to make sure that my pizza would be made separately and not come in contact with gluten. I was assured by the woman who took my order that he would wear gloves. I also found it odd that when I initially asked about their menu she told me I could eat seitan. Unless they have a gluten free seitan I know for sure that the main ingredient in seitan is vital wheat gluten. I got my pizza and ended up eating one slice and immediately started to feel sick. I am very sensitive to gluten but another thing the dough was not fully cooked, it was incredibly oily and greasy and flavorless. I expected the pesto to be a symphony of parmesan ,garlic , lemon and nutty flavors but it lacked. Also a little more salt and pepper to enhance the flavors. I’m very disappointed and unfortunately will not be going back.
Best gluten free pizza! We live in Manhattan and wait all year for Crust and Crumble pizza - haven’t found a place in Manhattan that we like as much. Freshly made from scratch and all toppings are super fresh. Just let the staff know that you are celiac and they will make a note so there is no cross contamination. My son had never gotten sick there.
Our server was careful to ask everyone about their gluten sensitivity and told us they could customize many dishes. She was very patient and attentive. We all had gf pizza, which was great. The dense crust looks and tastes like it’s made from scratch. Everyone’s orders came out right even though they were all customized. They have a lot of vegan options. None of their vegan meats are gf. The pancetta is not gf.
So I went here last week to try their gluten free pizza. I watched the cook take it out of the oven, put it on the counter (where they put the regular pizzas) and cut the pizza (with the same pizza cuter as the regular pizzas). I should have said something, but I was hungry and didn't want to be a jerk. Needless to say, I was sick for days. Sadly, I won't go back.
Delicious - and most importantly you can fold the crust and it doesn’t crack or break apart!
The very best pizza ever! I have celiac disease and had
no problem whatsoever.
food was very good (fries and pizza)but felt sick for days. was sure it was something else bc we were assured the food we had was gluten free. we gave a 2nd try a few weeks later. waitress said impossible to get gluten free fries bc only 1 fryer for everything. we said we had them last time and i pointed to the waittess we had last time. this waitress hesitated and advised we listen to her. we left without eating and never went back.
