They DO NOT have a designated fryer even though the website says that they do. They have a lot of gf options but mine were limited due to being vegan. The waitress was very helpful in helping me find something to eat. She went above and beyond to ensure that my meal was safe.
They Do NOT have a dedicated fryer. I got the sautéed vegetables with a N.O.G. Burger without a bun. I was in a party of 8 and everyone said their food was ok, the fried chicken was voted best. The waiter seemed knowledgeable but the whole meal overall for everyone was ok.
Just ate here 2 days ago... they now have a DEDICATED FRYER! 🙌 This was my first time dining here and the server was extremely alert and accomodating. She also informed me that the kitchen had now implemented a dedicated fryer. I shared nachos and then had a meal of sautéed shrimp and french fries. Everything was so delicious. Even my non gf friends raved over their meals!
Celiac and wheat free menus, the celiac menu is pretty restrictive as they don’t have a separate fryer, but at least it is noted. I had to have a salad, they don’t offer any gf bread options for a burger or sandwich. Food was ok, but probably won’t go back, not enough options for celiac.
Wonderful experience this week! With our group of 8 I was the only gluten-free person; they accommodated all of us beautifully. They had a separate gluten-free menu from which I ordered sauteed fresh flounder and sweet potato fries. Our server assured me the fries were done in a separate dedicated fryer. They also had a very large selection of beer, including a gluten-free option! I don't see this much in restaurants, so this was welcome. Glutiny from New Belgium Brewing. Beware this is gluten-removed and not certified gluten-free, but was fine for me. Highly recommended!
Finding GF options in the south sometimes is a lesson in frustration, in the land of breaded & fried! Crystal Beer Parlor had a comprehensive gluten/dairy/soy/fish/nut allergy menu. I finally was able to order shrimp & grits!! It was superb! And I had absolutely NO reaction! The only problem I had was when I asked about the fries (on the gf menu) the bartender said they had a shared fryer. So I would beware. They also could have had a better gf beer selection. They had LOTS of craft beer selections for all your non-gf friends. Would definitely go back!
This restaurant provided one of the most comprehensive gluten free menus in Savannah. They gave me a paper that had every menu item in a category of OK or NO. The waiter relayed my needs to the kitchen and my meal was very well prepared. I would highly recommend as a gluten free destination
