We went on a Sunday. It was busy. I started asking about how celiac friendly they were, I got the deer in the headlight look. She then turned to the manager and she started talking about the heat would kill the gluten. I said no thank you and ordered only Cole slaw.
Vanilla custard is great in a cup and they also have gf buns. The gf buns come out steamed in plastic packet which keeps them moist. The staff made my burger on a separate space and seemed to take care to avoid cross contamination.
The staff is knowledgeable and brings out a gluten free bun in a sealed package that’s been steamed so you know it’s gluten free. The fries I’m pretty sure are cross contaminated but the butter burgers and a lot of shakes are safe.
I ordered a gluten free burger to go and they gave me it with the bun warm and still in its plastic package. I think they did this so that the bun wouldn't get soggy on my ride to Sturgis. I appreciate that little detail, and the burger was really good.
The staff member was great but after asking my probing questions, said if I have a wheat allergy or celiac she would not recommend eating there, since they cannot guarantee no CC. So my family ate and I went to the Chick fil a down the street that happens to have a separate fryer for fries and separate grill for grilled chicken. NCGI would probably be fine, but not guaranteed safe for Celiac.
Culver’s has best gluten free hamburger in the area. Grilled chicken and salads are on the menu also. The owner and managers have trained the staff to be knowledgeable and to special handle your gluten free requests. They automatically change gloves. I always ask for the manager to be informed of my order. I am celiac (extremely sensitive) and have never gotten sick here. This is a very pleasant, clean casual restaurant. It is fast food but every order is prepared separately. I highly recommend Culver’s.
The staff here were so caring and considerate today! I seriously couldn’t thank them enough. I ordered a mini concrete Reese mixer and they double checked that Reese was gluten free and told me that their mixer would never truly be celiac safe. I sincerely appreciated their honesty! I would recommend not having your concrete mixer mixed in their blender and mix it yourself. Highly recommend this location they actually care about your health and well being.
My first time eating at Culver’s. The burger and fries were delicious. They use udi’s gluten free bun and the fries had a separate fryer. I asked before ordering them and the cashier told me nothing else is fried in the fryer with the fries. I was a little nervous hoping I didn’t get sick and thank God I did not, I’ll definitely be eating at Culver’s again. My to go place for now on for a delicious burger & fries ❤️❤️
Folks seek to always be trained at Culver’s. When you mention gf wheat allergy they know what you’re saying. I always say to make sure they use a new spatula in the back and they actually go back and tell the cook. Gf buns too!
The staff is very knowledgeable about their GF options and the manager was thorough about making sure employees handled our order properly as my husband has celiac’s disease. We have gone a few times and have never been disappointed:) celiac friendly
Everything is served on a separate tray and bun comes in a separate bag. Bun is great. Wish the had a dedicated French fry fryer so I could enjoy the frys but glad they have other options! Eat here often and have never gotten sick.
I love there gluten free buns. When I ordered I told them it was a allergy. So they brought my hamburger and lettuce and tomato and pickles in one container and the buns was in it’s on wrap and warmed. For sides you get apple sauce, coleslaw. And the custard is so good.
The deluxe butter burger with Udi’s gf bun is safe and tasty. The bun holds together and is served warm in it’s individual package. You assemble. I sub green beans for the fries. The staff takes the gluten “allergy” seriously.
Best gluten free food ever!! The bread is not a different texture and the fries are in a separate oil. The food comes out on a separate gluten free tray, good for if your family or friends don’t have celiac or aren’t on a gluten free diet!!
My wife has celiac, and ate a grilled chicken sandwich on a GF bun with absolutely no problems afterwards. Bun comes in a bag separate from the ingredients, so you can be sure of no cross-contamination. She said the bun was soft and delicious, the best GF bun she’s had, hands down.
Saw reviews that Culver’s had gluten free buns so wanted to give this a try. Ordered the double butterburger and it was really good. The bun comes wrapped in plastic and didn’t get a reaction from the burger or fries!
I have bad experiences with the frozen custard both here and at another Culver’s. I told them specifically to be careful about cross contact with gluten. This time, I found a ball of cookie dough in my snickers. It’s safe to say I learned my lesson!
They have a gluten free bun. It comes packaged separately from the burger. They do not have a dedicated fryer for gluten free items. The chocolate and vanilla custard are gluten free and they were willing to use a new scoop just in case. The cashiers were hit and miss on knowledge. One was great and knew a lot, but the other one didn't know much and didn't ask for help. There is an online allergen search for Culver's that was really helpful to read before going. They do not have that info in stores.
They have Udi’s buns that are warmed inside the package and then you assemble the burger yourself. A few of the sides are gluten free (the fries are not in a dedicated fryer). I enjoy stopping by for a burger and ice cream!
Just perfect for a fast food restaurant joint, wish we had one of these like they do McDonald's. GF roll, delicious double cheese burger and French fries. Hit the spot from Flordia to Buffalo. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Ps ask for napkins!
The young lady was so helpful and understanding as I am recently diagnosed Celiac. She directed me to a flyer of their allergy information by the drinks and ketchup counter. I got a burger and gluten free bun. Gluten free bun was delicious. Too much bun for me though so I took the top half home to enjoy with a sandwich at home :) The lady also recommended a lemon ice with fruit (I picked raspberry) it was so good! She said another woman who comes in frequently gets it and likes it. It was very refreshing. Sioux Center Culver’s is top notch service. Also, I made a drive through trip the other day and asked for no bun (I was going to be lazy and skip the allergy part) and the man asked if it was due to an allergy! I loved being asked instead of having to say it myself!
Absolutely amazing!!! I love Culver’s!!! I have been to this branch at least 7 times on my way through IL. Every time it has been great! I have never gotten sick! Which is a huge plus! What I normally eat here is a Snackpac Deluxe ButterBurger with a Gluten Free Bun. Then for the side I get Coleslaw or a Spring Salad. Wonderful! This time I purchased a Concrete Mixer with peanut butter sauce and Reese’s. The worker (Madison) after hearing that I had a wheat allergy, cleaned the shoot and made new frozen yogurt for my mixer! Incredible!! The Mixer was amazing and I didn’t get a touch sick!! I am definitely coming back here!
I went on the chain website and saw they advertise that a gluten free bun is available. You can get a butter burger or grilled chicken. I ordered a burger with gluten free bun . The person who took my order asked if I had a gluten allergy and noted it on the receipt. She told me they change gloves and have a protocol. My burger came out on a separate tray with a steamed prepackaged bun. It was excellent! I had no problems.
