Gluten free buns, and they don’t assemble the sandwich for you which makes me feel much safer! The inside of sandwich comes separately. I don’t risk the fries because I’ve gotten different feedback about them but I love the mashed potatoes without gravy. Most staff is pretty good about it, they ask if it’s allergy or preference.

I eat here often and they are so careful. Every staff member has been able to answer my Gf questions and they have a very easy to read gf menu. Never gotten sick!

I asked for a gluten free bun and they gave me a regular one. I explained that they had to remake the whole sandwich and had to break down how I usually get my order with the gluten free bun in the wrapper and burger in the separate box. They were very confused but remade it correctly after a couple tries.

This location does not have a dedicated fryer as previously reported, but they do have gf buns and took care to change gloves and did their best to keep my cheeseburger (only thing ordered) safe.

They had a gf bun that was served to me wrapped in plastic but it had been heated prior. I don’t know if they do magic in their kitchen or what but this was hands down THE BEST GLUTEN FREE BUN I’ve ever eaten-soft & spongey/similar to glutinous texture. I saw on their website it’s Udi’s (which makes zero sense) so it must be a special food service line that udis does because it’s better than anything I’ve eaten from Udi’s before. They also took extra care so that I could order a Reese’s concrete mixer (custard + a mix in). Fries aren’t in dedicated fryer so I would avoid those but mashed potatoes without gravy, broccoli w/out cheese sauce, & coleslaw were all safe side options. New favorite place!

I have been to this Culver's so many times, as it's the only place in Superior I can get a burger and fries! Make sure to ask for the fries in a separate bag when ordering through the drive through, as many times they will leave the fries out of the GF order (and make sure to indicate an "allergy" if you do have celiac's/or are highly sensitive). Or when you order at the counter, ask for the GF order to be on a separate tray. This is not always strictly followed by staff, so there seems to sometimes be a disconnect but I have never gotten sick at this location. This is why I'd give them a 4.5. The order comes with a steamed Udi's bun that holds up well. It is hands down the best bun I've had yet and I've tried so many so far. I've been told there is a separate grill area and the fries are in a separate fryer. I've been here at least 20 times and would recommend it! They do have an allergen menu on the counter to peruse other gluten free options.

I just found a Culver's with a dedicated fryer! Awesome! They didn't have GF bun, but they are back in a week. They had a problem with the supplier.

Gluten free buns are yummy and they grab all new condiments from dedicated gluten-free bins. You assemble all the condiments on the bun when you receive it to avoid cross contamination. If you tell them you have celiac they will make sure your burger is cooked on the side of the grill that bread doesn’t touch. Some desserts are gluten free too! They have a very nice allergen menu available online and sometimes in the store. The fried food is NOT celiac safe though even though fries are stated gluten-free. They are cooked with cheese curds which have gluten.

The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable about cross contamination and what they offer that is gluten free. They put my gluten free hamburger in a separate and clearly marked bag from the gluten items in my order. They give you an individually wrapped bun and the hamburger and toppings in a separate container so you build the burger when you get it.

They have a really good gluten free bun that comes still wrapped (but steamed!). Lots of meat options and good chili! Plus the frozen custard is a nice treat. :-)

Have great UDI buns and food allergy prep training. Fries are not celiac friendly but they do applesauce instead. Love the burgers and custard!!

Staff was very knowledgeable and they even gave me a pamphlet that shows what is GF and what could be cross-contaminated. They package and prepared it in a way that is super easy.

With careful prompting, the staff does really well about avoiding cross-contamination. But avoid rush periods because In pmy experience, the likelihood of getting glutened rises significantly.

Culver’s maintains a gluten free fryer, and have a gluten free bun that you can use for grilled chicken or burgers. The bun comes in a sealed package and the chicken is prepared separately and packaged separately. Their custard is also great. I have never had any problems eating here, it’s my go to for GF fast food.

Ordered single butter burger with cheese with the gluten free bun (not toasted) alerted them to allergies- it came out separate and bun was still nicely wrapped, with 2 individual ketchup packets. It tasted great and no reaction! (extremely sensitive celiac)

Yes they have a gf bun but fries are not gf like website lists. Their fries themselves are gf but they do not have their own dedicated fryer which means other items with gluten such as cheese curds are fried in that same fryer. My husband was very disappointed. Plus employee mouthed off that all fries are technically gf (which they are not if you’ve seen labels for seasoned fries in frozen section) just not gf once fried with other items.

Got the grilled chicken sandwich with a gluten free bun, the bun was really good. It’s really hard to find fast food places to eat because not only am I allergic to wheat but beef as well. It was definitely a good sandwich.

I definitely will not go back to Culver’s. You pay $6 for a hamburger and the patty is so thin you can’t even taste the meat on the bun. Not worth the money. They do have gf buns but it’s not worth eating because the bread is so thick you can’t taste the meat. Rethink your patty size Culver’s.

Got glutened. Even though we said gf. Bun was in a separate bag. My burger was upside down cheese melted on paper. I got extremely sick after. There is no dedicated frier for fries so not a lot of food options. Burger wasn’t very good.

GF bun is packaged and warmed separately. If you notify the staff when taking your order, they will alert the cook (marked “allergy” on the ticket) who will take extra care to avoid contamination. I’ve eaten at several Culver’s, including this one, and have yet to get sick. It’s safest to go right after they open so there is less for the cooks to clean off the grill, although I’ve personally had no issues during lunch either.

I was at the singing Hills location in Sioux City. The person I ordered from didn’t know if the fries were fried in their own fryer, he asked the manager, and the manager said that the oil they use has gluten in it. They also said that each owner will do things differently at various culvers locations. So please be sure that you’re asking at each location if it is safe or not

Gluten free bun comes in a bag to prevent contamination but the burger and toppings are prepared in a shared space. If you tell them it is an allergy they try to decrease cross contamination as much as possible. I’m not a super sensitive celiac and have always been fine after eating here. Also the concretes can all be made gf!

Delicious burgers! They bring food out separately to avoid cross contamination. They seemed knowledgeable about gluten free and had many precautions in place. The Udi’s hamburger buns are wrapped and come out next to the meat so you can assemble it yourself. The grilled chicken sandwich was also good. We also had coleslaw that was delicious. Fries are not celiac safe. We ate here twice and loved our meals both time!

The Culver’s in Fox Lake is the only place I truly feel comfortable eating at in Fox Lake! It’s a newer restaurant and they do have a dedicated French fry frier, so the fries are gluten free! They’re awesome about making sure everything is safe and the bun always comes in a bag to help prevent cross contamination. My go-to is the pot roast on a GF bun and it’s awesome with some BBQ sauce!
