I have eaten here before and had no issues but I was sick after a recent visit. I had an eggs Benedict dish. They confirmed that the hollendaise sauce was GF and the potatoes were cooked on a surface without gluten. The meal arrived with bacon which I didn’t realize it was included in the meal. I was gluttened. Won’t be eating here again.
Came here based on the positive reviews here but didn’t share in the other reviews’ experience. It was a busy Sunday brunch so service was slow and it took 30 minutes for a breakfast sandwich. Yes, they have GF bread and can accommodate many menu items. But the bread slices were tiny and fell apart instantly (not toasted enough and too much sauce equals soggy sandwich). I ended up spending $15 on a breakfast sandwich the size of a McMuffin and that required a fork and knife to eat. I gave up on the bread entirely. Bacon was good though. Chai latte was nice and not too sweet. If I go back I would try the potatoes or something other than bread.
I told the server I was celiac and inquired about GF safe options for me. I decided on the garlic chicken panini on GF bread, grilled on a dedicated GF press, and wow I was not disappointed!!! The bread was the best yet! They even have GF baked goods for sale in a separate space from the regular baked goods. Extremely impressed! I will be back for sure.
All of their soups are gluten free, including their seafood chowder. All of their panini’s can be made gluten free and on a separate gluten free panini press! Lovely little shop with wonderful staff. While the gluten free items are not marked on the menu, the staff are very knowledgeable and 99% of their menu can be made gluten free!! They are excellent with cross contamination.
Daughter is celiac and ordered a gluten free panini. Staff were well aware of cross contamination and have a dedicated gluten free panini press. She said the panini was delicious! They seem to have a lot of gluten free option
Cup of Soul was a lovely small establishment with friendly staff and delicious food. We found it on our way from the Halifax airport to Prince Edward Island, and it was the perfect place to stop. Great with all allergies and super accommodating! We not knit had dinner but we got frozen soup and gf bread to have for dinner at our air bnb later that evening. We left wishing we were able to go back for another meal!
Wow! 15 min from the airport. We were stuck out at the airport hotels with nowhere to get our daughter a meal. Called the restaurant to make sure she could eat there and were assured it was safe. They were amazing! She had two blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs. She is sensitive to soy as well and they don’t use soy. She wants to go back tomorrow before we leave.
Delicious sandwiches and service in a quaint location. The only codicil did that the gf bakery items were in the same case as the non gf. They were in the top shelves however gif those who aren’t celiac. Loved this little place.
On the way from Halifax airport to Antigonish. This restaurant was great. Everything can be gluten free. The bread was also dairy and egg free. Very tasty.
The Cup of Soul has a good variety of main course and dessert dishes that are gluten free. Reasonably priced and friendly. Worth stopping for.
